Harper to blame for poor Tory polling: Pollster

OTTAWA — The gift of scandal and voter fatigue with the four-term Liberal government have done little for Stephen Harper's Conservatives, a new poll suggests.

A Pollara poll gives the Liberals a commanding advantage -- 11 points ahead of their arch-rivals, with staggering leads in battlegrounds like B.C., the Toronto area and Atlantic Canada.

Pollara's chairman says the Canadian electorate wants to punish the Liberals and there's only one explanation for such a large lead.

(I LOVE Canadians, these polls re-affirm to me that we Canadians can smell phony a mile away and Harper reeks of phoniness as does his faux party!)

1. Huh?

The Liberals are 11 points ahead and "the Canadian electorate wants to PUNISH the Liberals"?

How far ahead would they be if the Canadian electorate wanted to REWARD them?

3. LOL, I agree, I had a 'huh' moment in reading that as well...
but, in a way, it is true. Canadians are NOT happy with the sponsorship scandal and the Liberals but are also very astute in knowing the Harper faux party is not the answer ergo keep the Liberals in a minority position as a punishment but keep the faux party out of power at the same time.

5. For myself, I would be an NDP (New Democratic Party)voter in Canada
So I'd rather the Liberals be in a minority as well.

4. I think what they mean is...
If Harper wasn't their leader, more Canadians would vote Conservative.

Which is BS. Harper may hurt them, but they wouldn't be doing much better with anyone else as leader.

11. me too ;)

It didn't quite complete the thought.

Canadians *want* to punish the Liberals ... BUT they want to spit on Stephen Harper even more than they want to punish the Liberals.

;)

7. Sorry - that was unfair of me to ignore what you all go through. But
I will say your experiences have given the world ... reason to pause.

You'll win. And recover. And we will have learnt the danger inherent in too much elite power.

Seems humanity has to learn the lesson every 50 years or so. We need to learn to fight for everything we hold dear as laws go - or they will be taken away from us.

We will get through this together.

9. I didn't think anything
could outdo that shot of Stock riding away on his sea-doo, but this picture of Festus Harper manages it. :D
