Anybody near La Patrie, Quebec?
A friend of mine writes;

I have a friend who's been evacuated from New Orleans and is desperate to get word to her mother that she's alive and well. Her mother has no phone line and lives in a rural area in Quebec, where the closest town is La Patrie and she has a post office box.

Any chance anyone knows someone in the area that might pass on a message?

4. Contact the Canadian Embassy

or a Consular office.

They're listed here:

They'll help get the word.
