I'm pissed at Canada right now
Canadian law enforcement people helped to arrest an American Army veteran because *gasp*, he uses Marijuana to ease the pain he suffers. Has Canada started watching Faux News or what?

1. This is what I'm talking about
SEATTLE, Washington (AP) -- An Army veteran who fled to Canada to avoid prosecution for growing marijuana to treat his chronic pain was taken from a hospital, driven to the border with a catheter still attached, and turned over to U.S. officials, his lawyer said.

2. I asked for suggestions in another thread in this forum.
Please contribute. We're not as used to having to think about these things as you guys.

3. Where Were You
When Bush and Co. were dissing Canada?

Because of the immigrants that were coming into Canada through the US and claiming persecution, Canada revised its immigration laws to stop it. Now anyone seeking asylum in Canada must enter the country from the one he/she is seeking protection from. No one stopped Fox and the right wing loonies, and perhaps I might include Clinton, from dissing Canada about the leaky border. Well not only do we not have a leaky border but we also have to abide by our laws.

So returning someone who came into the country trying to escape the law. Well our laws say that they have to abide by the laws. Concerning possible mistreatment by officials and perhaps officials that have not followed the rule of law. Well that will have to be decided. Hopefully shortly in the House of Commons.
