Ex-teacher accused of outrageous remarks
TORONTO, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- A former Canadian high school teacher faces a disciplinary board, accused of having broken just about every taboo of civil conduct.

While a teacher at St. Anne High School in Tecumseh, near Windsor, William Fabel is said to have dished out outrageous statements to his class, from praising Osama bin Laden, to making racist and anti-gay remarks, to telling students he wanted to have sex with their mothers.

Fabel is alleged to have told girls: "I'm a leg man; I have cameras hidden under all the girls' desks." He allegedly asked boys, "How many of you guys would sleep with these girls for a million dollars."

Fabel denied all 26 complaints brought before the Ontario College of Teachers. His hearing was adjourned until Nov. 7, the Toronto Star said.

3. i'm gonna wait to find out more...
i just can't believe that a college educated person would be STUPID enough to say these things to high school kids...even if he believed them.

and if it all IS true, i think i'd have him examined for a brain tumor or something.

7. I could believe that if it was only a few complaints... but 26 of them?
That's either a massive conspiracy to get rid of the guy, or a really stupid person. I'd bet that he's just really really stupid.

11. DING DING DING! Ret5hd, you're our grand prize winner!
...he's got a brain tumor or is off his meds...

or he's had a minor stroke, which can alter your personality completely. There seems to be no reason to believe that this is his normal mode of behavior.

12. Brain tumor sounds like a good bet
Unless this guy has been a stealth fruit-loop for years, this sounds like a sudden and drastic behavior change. Usually a system of something really bad happening to his body chemistry.

5. Too outrageous.
jeez...Why not accuse him of claiming to have admitted to fucking Amelia Earhardt and then killing her, too.

Or the Lindberg Baby? Or JFK?

Who leveled the 26 complaints against him? all the kids he put in detention?

This stinks like Karl Rove.

17. More from the Toronto Star:
The Ontario College of Teachers referred Fabel to a disciplinary hearing for misconduct in 2003.

But it has taken two years to come before a tribunal.

This is partly because of the length of the investigation, said Browne, and partly because Fabel has requested several postponements.

The college has not stated what penalty it will seek at the end of the hearing, but these could range from compulsory "sensitivity training" to revoking Fabel's teaching licence."
