An analysis of former Prime Minister Harold Wilson's speech patterns suggests he may have had early Alzheimer's disease in office.

A University of Southampton expert examined Wilson's changing use of language while at the dispatch box.

The findings point to a possible decline in his mental function during his final months in office.

Researcher Dr Peter Garrard suggests this may have contributed to Wilson's decision to resign in April 1976.

The motives behind Wilson's resignation, which came as a surprise to most people, have long been a source of controversy.

The Alzheimers part may be real; but the conspiracy between Barbara Castle and Terry Wogan to murder Elvis, or whatever it is that is being suggested, just sends it all over the top!

She, of course, was Wilson's private secretary from 1956 through 1964, then head of Wilson's political office inside number 10 from 1964-1970 and from 1974-1976.

He was a Congressman from 1966 through 1970, after which he was US Ambassador to the UN, head of the Republican National Committee, Envoy to China, and then Director of the CIA, which he held until 1977.

It was in the summer of '63. Marcia was on a high after poisoning Gaitskell, and GHWB, Eric Morecambe and Russ Conway were helping her plan the assassination of JFK. As you know Conway blabbed the whole thing to Alma Cogan which is why George Brown ordered the deaths of her and her lover Brian Epstein (the gay thing was an MI5 blind). Conway's punishment was the ending of his career. The papers on the presence of George Brown and Richard Hearne in Dallas in November '63 are ordered not be released until the later of 2061 and the death of Dennis Waterman.
