Ice Cream
If you're an ice cream aficionado...Gosh, I adore Haagen-Dazs, I also like Kelly's Cornish Clotted Cream Ice Cream, but I can't find a picture of it

If you've got a fab ice cream, then come on spill the beans and post a picture.

2. Glacier homemade ice cream's death by chocolate....
This is the official description:

Death By Chocolate-Our homemade soft chocolate chunks mixed in a double dark chocolate base with a homemade hot fudge swirl.

Double Dark Chocolate base is 70% chocolate... it's black.

If there's such a thing as sin, Death By Chocolate is a sacrament.

5. I love Ice Cream and would love to try Kelly's
the name is a tad odd for my midwestern U.S. tastes, but descriptions sound wonderful.

Here is a pic:

That's them, you found a picture :) I'll now be naming my firstborn after you!

Kelly's is homemade, by a place called Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, Bodmin Moor has been there for nearly 5,000 years. Amazing.

If the Kelly's ice cream WOULDN'T melt en route, heck I'd send you some.

8. Kelly's isn't the best ice cream in Cornwall
this is: http://www.roskillys.co.uk/. It's made about 10 miles along the road from here. Yesterday we walked up the beach from Porthleven to Loe Bar - and then back along the cliffs - and I had a Roskilly's orange and mascarpone. Lovely.
The fudge is to die for too.

9. Oh that looks
FAB! I've just checked their website, Roskilly's have a tea room too :)

Your Orange & Mascarpone they call Orang-ohh-Tang. The coconut one Crusoc's Bounty would be lovely too and the Tiramisu.

I can only get Kelly's Cornish here :(

So, are there any houses for sale around Porthleven and Loe Bar? ;)

all the best properties in Porthleven seem to be turning into holiday lets - good place to buy though, it's definitely up-and-coming.
This is Loe Bar:

7. Maybe everybody is suffering from sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia?
More commonly known as "brain freeze" experienced while eating ice cream. Around here, Stroh's ice cream is a big seller. (yes the beer people). Couldn't find a picture :(

More than a picture ;)

"In Italy, Viagra ice cream is popular"...well, I've learnt something new today!

The Brain Freeze is true, I thought you were just kidding.

National Peach Ice Cream Day, peach ice cream has always been my Number One ice cream. It's just perfectly heavenly...but I could also go for that beer ice cream.

13. "San Francisco's Official Ice Cream" is Double Rainbow.
My favorite brand was Haagen-Dazs until I tried Double Rainbow.
Their "Coffee Blast" is outrageously wonderful.
Ingredients include coffee powder, coffee extract, espresso beans and cocoa.

I'm like Snuffles with a dog biscuit when it comes to Double Rainbow's Coffee Blast. :D
(A wink to others who grew up watching Hanna Barbera's Quickdraw McGraw cartoons.)

I didn't grow up with Quickdraw McGraw, but I've seen some re-runs on the Cartoon Network. I quick partial to Wacky Races myself.

15. Rossi's ice cream, no contest!
The pride of Southend. Even David Amess proclaiming his love for it on the floor of the Commons couldn't put me off (plus given that I generally work on the assumption that he's lying at all times, I'm guessing the carpet-bagging weasel's never actually tried it).

22. I've had some Rossi's!...'um David Amess
Edited on Tue Aug-23-05 07:33 PM by ...of J.Temperance
That Status Quo blokes the heir to Rossi's I THINK.

Oh yes, it's GORGEOUS, it's a real, old-style genuine ice-cream. They used to have Rossi's Ice Cream Parlours, according to my friends Dad, but I don't know whether they're still around.

Heck, Amess, he's the pits isn't he? He used to be out in, was it Basildon? But the Tories knew in 1996 that Basildon was going to fall to Labour, so they parachuted Amess over to Southend West or East. But he's a total moron!

27. Yeah, Amess is a complete joke
Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 07:22 AM by Kicked in the Taco
He did indeed slither over to Southend West (the constituency I work in, and was at school in when he arrived) in '97 to escape certain defeat in Basildon- unfortunately, the sight of the rictose grin on his face when he held Basildon in '92 will be burnt into my memory forever. The funny thing was, in '97 people were so pissed off about his carpet-bagging that for a while it looked like he might lose Southend West- which had previosuly been a rock-solid Tory seat for Paul Channon- to the Lib Dems! I really don't know why the Tories were so keen to keep him in parliament, he's completely useless and having suffered the misfortune of being in his presence several times, I can confirm that television does not even begin to do justice to his true sliminess.

28. Oh and I almost forgot to add the funniest thing about Amess!
Which is, of course, that despite constantly telling us about how tough on crime and what a believer in upright Catholic moral values he is, he currently never shuts up whinging about what an appalling injustice it was that his son got banged up for whacking some poor bastard over the head with a beer bottle! Good old fashioned Tory back-to-basics morality!

31. Ha! I think you heard right, actually
My memory was slightly hazy as to what was in the bottle (before presumably being transferred to Amess Jr's gut in very large quantities). I guess a nice long necked champus bottle would have made for a bit of extra force in the swing...
