BBC is saying that everyone who wants to leave NO has done so -
but it seems b***** obvious that that is not so. I assume that they are reading a White House press release.

1. The BBC is wrong. Nagin says up to 50,000 unaccounted for still
And CNN keeps showing people stranded on their roofs and being picked up by helicopters.

2. They were still airlifting people this morning
when I woke up. Choppers were still out looking for people. I watched them pick up an elderly woman from her home. They put her in a wire basket. She appeared to be with a younger adult son? but I don't know what happened to him.

The CNN chopper found a young guy on a apartment rooftop, and they stayed with him but I don't know if he's been picked up by now. I certainly hope so.

So there are still people out in the residential areas that need to be rescued.

This is just horrible.

4. I think that's a little harsh.
It looks like they're wrong on this, but it's a highly reputable and fair organisation.

5. I think they must have caught up - Radio 4 didn't repeat this at 6.00pm -
Thank God, for the sake of my blood pressure.
