Poll question: Let's end this here and now. Bev Harris: Credible or not?
The rule is, taking this poll is your final say. Once you vote on this poll, you agree to drop the issue at least for tonight. The results of this poll will speak for you. No more arguing!!!

1. Looks like more people need to vote in this poll.
Or they are just not keeping their word, and dropping the arguments after voting.

5. OK, shutting up now.., but....
is it just me, or does it seem like some people are trying to personally discredit our most vocal advocates based on some minutiae from the past, like with O'Neill, Clark, Valerie Plame, etc. etc?
Just curious!

6. Bev Harris is a hero. Now, stop the nonsencal attacks
Could the moderators do any checking into the kind of posts Bev's detractors normally do to find out if any of them are not Democrats?

8. No arguing on this thread!!!
This means insinuating that anyone that thinks Bev is batty is a Republican!!!

I for one think she is batty. But enough arguing already.

7. I just started a similar poll before I saw this one, but Bev is a hero
the attacks I've seen so far are bs, and none of the attackers seem to be able to back any of the attack up with fact.

that says a lot

if my poll is a dupe (it pretty much is) its cool with me if its locked

I was just looking for an outlet for Bev supporters (FAIR VOTE SUPPORTERS) to vent.....

I'm glad to see someone beat me to it

THANK you Bev!

9. The problem I have seen...
Is that the attacks do not relate to the real issues, whether they are true or not doesn't seem to matter.

IF you have a specific critique about the way she is handling the current investigations, follow that, post it and lets discuss. However, to bring up non-related past incidents, whether true or false, is a tactic the right wing wackos have been using for years, much to the chagrin of the Dems.

10. I disagree

I have seen some very calm and specific posts from long time, thoughtful and trustworthy DU members that raise legitimate questions about a variety of investigations, only to see them quickly ganged up on with hints and implications that they are infiltrators who are trying to sop investigations.

I don't know for sure, of course, but it looks for all the world to me like there is a switcheroo going on. What better way to "pass" here than to vehemently defend investigations, and to accuse solid DU members of being the disruptors. I see the ones objecting to the supposed disruptions as causing the most disruption, and I see the calm and rational critics of various efforts from some of Bev's work, to the Cybernet "investigations" getting jumped on and attacked for daring to express any caution or raise any questions.

That is just what I am seeing.

12. anyone who votes No is a hypocrites in my opinion
are you in florida? did you save the polling tapes from the garbage? are you holding the election officals feet to the fire?

I didn't think so. And Keith Olbermann is being an asshole for screwing with Bev this way. He should apologize. He should be asking her to be on the show. He should let her tell her story, and not pass lies.

Btw, to the No voters, I hope you're packing your bags and traveling to Ohio or Florida to fight the fraud right now. Because you obvious think you know better how to do it.

13. The main issue isn't her credibility.
I think the main issue right now is whether or not she's handling this conflict properly. I would say no. The only person who benefits from the retraction she's demanding is her. The people that lose on account of this ultimatum is us.

15. Bev one of the only people doing real, verifiable work
That people would be following wild allegations but debunking Bev is absurd. Bev is one of the only people on top of this issue who is doing rational, systematic collection of evidence. She understands the danger of jumping the gun, entering the ring unarmed, and pissing off the opposition. Hence, she keeps her cards close to her chest and focuses only on what she can prove. She is not here to stroke our egos. That we are kept in the loop at all is awfully considerate of her, since she is out there putting herself on the line to prove something. I really appreciate her work and that she remains a pragmatist in all this. She is our best shot at reforming electronic voting in the future and getting a paper trail.

Yay Bev!!!!
