and more than that. As a matter of fact, there are more Bev threads up top tonight than lost votes in NC. There are more Bev threads tonight than hanging and dimpled chads waiting to be counted in Ohio. HECK, there are more Bev threads than disenfranchized minority voters!!

Ok. On the serious note. Regardless of Bev Harris, who I think has performed an amazing public service in bringing the issue of secretive electronic voting machines to many of our eyes, there are many more of us who are following in her activist footsteps and use DU as a tool for communicating with others about those efforts.

We can pay homage to Bev, throw stones, or something in between, but we shouldn't let that affect us for more than a very short period of time. Those of us who have half lived in this board since Nov. 2nd are probably not very well rested, minds elsewhere, etc., because we realize what the hijacking of our vote means. We might be a little too on edge to appreciate the fact that we are all on the same team no matter what our performance is like at any given time.

Any criticism you have of Bev Harris, Keith Obermann, other DU members... please keep it constructive, deliver it with care, and remember that these are some of the pioneers on certain fronts of this cause. And most importantly, don;t let anything but real progress consume you. The personal stuff should be resolved; yes, but don't let it get in the way of the DU community. :) :)

Ok. 'Nuf said. Please stop killing each other now. Can't we all just get along? :)

Read the entire first link. Andy warns of a possible nuke attack before the election.... a very interesting read.

This connection NEEDS to be explained before I can fully support Anything Bev or BBV do again. At the very least behavior like Andy displayed in the above thread is unbecoming of the BBV movement and Bev should reign in her staff.



I have respected the work and posts by the BBV people for a long time here on DU. Recently I have seen BBV say and do things that have shaken my confidence in them.

The Dumpster Diving Story made me cringe.
The sensational story lines and cliff hanger endings of her posts and reports made me dubious.
The stunt Andy pulled to get on Randi's show sent up red flags.
The latest grand standing has just about done it for me.

Particularly concerning Vreeland. That guy was clearly uncredible when he started that blog and started posting his religious poetry.

Joan AKA Hedda Foil is with BBV.

I recall a number of $225,000, but I don't know if it was BBV or some other org... All I know is people said send money so I did. I have no idea where it went.

Votergate profits? Good question. F911 did over 100 mil didn't it... Certainly they deserve something for their efforts.

Some of the non believers are oldtimers with credibility, particularly Symbolman, Zombie Woof and especially David Allen.

Yet still, Bev has put out major effort, that is undeniable.

David probably has the best assessment of the situation - Bev is an extremely strong willed person and has fallings out with people who have contributed to her efforts.
