Have we been taken over by the Free Republic? Why the attacks on Bev? |
|
She's on our side. It looks like a ton of flames against her. Yesterday in a different forum, people were going after Dennis Kucinich. I thought we were supposed to be Democrats and on Bev and Dennis's side. Also, in another forum, a large number of the threads start with language children shouldn't see and I understand there are a number of children at Democratic Underground. I'm tempted to send out a warning to parents to keep children and teens away from this site until it gets straightened out.

Democrats don't lock step, we all have different opinions on how the party should be handled and should be allowed to express those opinion. I have NO comment on BBV or Olbermann because you can't of course get all the facts on a message board so an intelligent conclusion cannot be reached.
Also, I know young adults come to this forum but do you really think people say things here that they don't say with their friends? Free speeach is still with us and people should be able to say whatever they want to say. Censorship is not an American value :)

But I'm innocent here.. I try not to use foul language when people other than my husband is around. When I first arrived at DU I was amazed at the swear words.. first message board I have been on without a filter.

elsewhere from people who are trying to sound like Republicans. MOst people watch their language around children. It is very rare that people use the kind of bad language that is rampant in one of the other forums in places where children frequent.

7. I think it's the culmination of frustration by those who |

are smart enough to recognize the election has been stolen for the second time by the most inept, extremist president in U.S. history, just because he has the money to get what he wants in life, right or wrong. We're being robbed yet again by the corporate media who refuses as a whole to investigate to get the facts out. It's business as usual for them.
Then we have a grassroots effort led by Bev Harris & her small group of investigators who have the know-how & smarts to understand & differentiate the information about electronic voting irregularities, yet it's likely that because they're so overwhelmed & understaffed & continue to hit dead ends for the information they need, they made an error in judgement by "grandstanding" at the wrong event (a retirement event) in Florida.
Keith Olbermann mentioned in his Bloggermann column tonight that she may not be doing us any favors. I agree to the extent that there's a right way & a wrong way to approach these situations, but considering Bev Harris is doing this ON HER OWN is very commendable. Without a large budget to work with, & considering the mainstream media's apathy to the fact that our democracy is being compromised, I can understand why she did what she did.
We're damn frustrated by the whole election mess. I'm thankful for Bev's efforts, and she's entitled to a mistake. And I'm thankful for Keith Olbermann, too, but he has to have more empathy toward Bev Harris' situation. She needs to be commended as a concerned citizen who has taken the initiative to see that justice is done in the second stolen election.
I can tell you one thing: Other than Keith Olbermann & maybe a mention or two by others like Aaron Brown, the corporate media sure isn't doing us any favors by ignoring this huge story. I just wish we were in a bad dream & we could wake up from it.

9. Because Bev is smart enough to do it her way... |

the fraud will be exposed and the media is realizing they are being shown up for the frauds they are.
Remember, Madsen's mentioned that the media has a tendency to put down anything they didn't created.
Unfortunately Olbermann seems to be infected with this media disease.

Failing to acknowledge and work to correct them hurts us, not helps us.

Calling DUers freepers is not appropriate, and if you have questions about DU policy they belong in the Ask the Admins forum.
