Just got this "auto letter" from Bill Nelson here in FL regarding my |
|
request he investigate the fraud in this election and also contesting the results of the election. "He is waiting for the GAO results?" When the heck will that be??! I haven't heard one thing about what is happening with that investigation. As a matter of fact, I posted this morning asking if anyone had any updates on the GAO investigation.
Dear ....:
Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about the recent election.
As you may know, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) plans to investigate voter registration, electronic voting machines, and the processing of provisional ballots. The Election Assistance Commission (EAC) also has announced plans to hold public hearings on voter registration guidelines, statewide registration databases, and provisional balloting. The EAC is currently receiving election data from across the country, including information on the use of provisional ballots.
Before the election, I supported several initiatives and legislation to ensure the accuracy of electronic voting machines. I will continue to monitor the situation, and I await the GAO's and EAC's findings so that we can improve our nation's voting process.
I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this issue. I will continue my efforts so all citizens have the opportunity to vote and feel confident that their votes are counted.

3. I was surprised. It's an auto letter. I am going to write back and ask |
|
him how long this investigation is going to take??? it sounds to me like they are going to work on things "later" for up and coming elections. What do you make of it?

6. Yeah, but an auto-letter about election fraud. |
|
Not as useless as most of what I've been getting back.

10. Probably because I am a Floridian. I get much much more generic |
|
letters from senators in other states. I would be curious to see if any other Florida dems got the same letter.

there was a thread about the GAO. It basically said that they will be investigating ways to make the process better but, will not be investigating any of the many alligations of fraud. Sorry.....not we were all hoping for.

5. It'll be months until they report... |
|
...and it'll be forward-looking with the intent of improving future elections, not to scrutinize this one.
