Do we have ANY power ANY where?
What is there left to stop the horrors to come? Margin now too great in Senate for a
Chafee to make any difference.

Might the media come to its senses? It looked like they were turning very late in the game, but that was probably because the inaccurate polls (Zogby) gave signals they had to switch bandwagons.

Please tell me how the coming horrors can be stopped - especially with Court picks.

Here in MA, I couldn't think of a better idea. Other than this election turning out the way it's supposed to, of course...come on Kerry...show us some fight! 15 minutes till he speaks...please be good news.

9. I think we should get in touch with our reps and see if they can look into
the procedures.

17. Me neither
The West Coast and the Northeast remain ours, and with effort they will cease to be theirs. Let's see how long those bastard Bushies last without us!

5. The left is in a semi-coma now.
Our only power is a diminished ability to filibuster in the Senate.

The Repugs will be able to ramrod just about any judicial appointments and bills through that they wish. The timid Democratic survivors in the Senate will probably use the filibuster sporadically.

The only thing that will save us is for Bush* to keep doing what he's been doing. Eventually enough idiots will wake up and see the disastrous path he's put us on. Hopefully, it won't be too late.

8. Look to your state and local government, forget the feds
With some luck, you live in a blue state that hasn't thoroughly gutted its public sector, and your city/town/village is overseen by honest decent people. Any improvements and reforms you notice over the next decade will probably be initiated at these levels.

Look after your public schools, your parks, your roads, your utilities. There's not much else we can do.

13. RW sites want Blue states to leave.
They are convinced that they would be better off w/o the blue states holding them back. The trouble is that it isn't red/blue state. It is city/suburbs & rural. Bring up the CNN map and look at the blue counties in each state and match them to the population centers. Perfect fit.

have overthrown worse dictators, so can we.

Now is not the time to think about what won't work. Now is the time to think up ways of resistance.

The number one thing right now has to be to make sure that the public knows the election was stolen. Don't rely on the mass media to do this for you, and don't rely solely on an internet that doesn't reach a big part of the Democratic (and democratic) base. Make up flyers with the facts, and post them everywhere. The sooner the better -- we are in a race with the spin doctors for the hearts and minds of America.

16. Media is doing what it's s'posed to,
told to, paid to, Corporate Media anyway.
When the truth is uncovered the horror will stop. All great evils come to an end, eventually. But this is the first one with the ability to destroy the whole world in a matter of minutes.
