Bush's Ohio Win Was Closer Than Thought
By JOHN SEEWER Associated Press Writer
TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- President Bush's victory over John Kerry in Ohio was closer than the unofficial election night totals showed, but the change is not enough to trigger an automatic recount, according to county-by-county results provided to The Associated Press on Friday.
Bush's margin of victory in the state that put him over the top in his re-election bid will be about 119,000 votes, which is smaller than the unofficial margin of 136,000, the county election board figures showed. That means Kerry drew closer by about 17,000 votes.
The margin shrank primarily because of the addition of provisional ballots that were not counted on Election Day and were not included in the unofficial tally. Overseas ballots also were added to the count in all 88 counties.
And about a quarter of Kerry's gain was the result of an electronic voting system glitch that gave Bush 3,893 extra votes in a suburban Columbus precinct. The extra votes had been included in the unofficial count, but aren't part of the official tally.
Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell will certify the results Monday......

provisional ballots, Kerry beat Bush by ~ 10%. Isn't that interesting? Of course, provisional ballots are actually tangible, not binary code in the aether. This includes overseas ballots, which any GOoPer will tell you heavily favors Bush because, of course, the military are big Bushies even though thet're dying and overextending. Anyone think maybe Kerry got a raw deal in OH? Just maybe?
And the guy from the OH County Commissioner's Office says a recount is a waste of money; that if he thought there was a chance it would affect the outcome, he'd be all for it (the recount). How does he know it wouldn't affect the outcome? Does he think this fraud was perfect and undiscoverable? Or is he afraid it isn't?

If you would please click on the thread below and then click on the Yahoo article to rate the story (at the bottom of the page). Apparently, the Repugs have been rating these stories down. I gave it a 5. Hope you will too. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x109510

polls and questionairesand threads; and they all reflect that - a) america doesn't care if the vote was fraudulent or b) the right has the astroturf roots movement out clicking away, wearing their talons to a nub trying to make this suspicion just go away.
I vote for b.
