I need an update.
I haven't paid much attention to DU the past couple of days. Can anyone update me on the latest happenings?

I heard the rally was somewhat of a flop. I didn't go. You can all chide me now.

I read the last two letters from the House Judiciary Committee to Ken Blackwell.

I read Keith's latest post.

I read the transcript of the Madsen interview.

Has there been any word about the Blackbox Voting happenings in Florida?

Any other important news that was missed?

1. RE: BBV developments and other news.
Bev is actively posting on BBV's forums, and although she is keeping a tight leash on details, she is giving some updates.

The NM spoilage figures are very interesting.

The Democratic Party's promise to "study" the Ohio election

Someone popped the question to the Whitehouse media spokesperson, which is signifigant.

There has been more major media coverage lately.

And tons of stuff I'm missing. Lots happened in just 2 days.

Is there a place that explains all of this? Thanks a lot.

3. Ohio Rally wasn't really a "flop"
just not as many people as expected -- it still made some coverage -- (though it would have been more impressive with 40,000 like canada was able to do to protest Bush...) - and more importantly, there are Many things going on in the next few days that people are participating in -- such as Picketing Blackwells office all week, etc.

MSM is still treating this like disgruntled Kerry voters who just want their way -- we really need to pound home that this is about transparency and democracy!

I drove in from Cincinnati. It was a lot warmer in Cinci that day!

6. I couldn't get here until 3, drove up from Cincy and was told it was over
Why did it end before it was scheduled to? I was VERY disappointed, I had thought 1 hour was better than nothing!

7. When was it scheduled to end?
It started at 1:00 -- we were a little late. More people came after us. People left at different times -- it was a really biting wind that day. The PA system was kind of compromised because of the wind -- it was hard to hear in back -- I think that's why we lost people. But people were coming when it was breaking up. Did you go to the Palost/Jackson meeting at 6:00?

14. I guess I had expected more from it....
I got up and I was like, "Rally or no rally?" And then I thought, "I don't want to fight the traffic and the crowds, so no rally." Now it turns out it probably was doable. On well.... It did make some coverage but like a caller to Steph Miller pointed out this morning, the headline in Columbus was misleading and the story was buried.

5. Let's see--
Bev got tombstoned major threads with mutiple opinions
Madsen and Brad Blogg are working up the greatest scandal since--I don't know Watergate?
Ecoterrorists might have burned some houses in MD (I personally think it is the CIA after Clint Curtis)
The Repukes finally agreed to pass the terrorism bill
Keith O. is still everybody's hero. (Wolf Blitzer and Judy W most definitely are not)

TIA has posted a zillion statistics proving the vote was stolen
Tons of Freepers have invaded to debunk all this news

Oh and did I mention a dog was killed?

Anyway that's what I've been following.

8. Ecoterrorists and a Dog?
I really missed those two items. Whose dog was killed? And what business about burning houses in MD?

16. Madsen and BRAD BLOG *not* working together!
Our investigations into the matter are independent.

His covers a *much* wider scope than mine (Bush Family / CIA, etc).

I'm looking *only* into the information around the Curtis Affidavit that I posted this morning.

Mr. Madsen, I believe, is working from an older affidavit mainly concerning Curtis' book (swearing that what's in it is true, etc.)

My opinion, and nothing here against Madsen, is that there is *so* much concerning the Curtis/Yang/FDOT/Feeney charges that the larger issues Madsen is tying in don't necessarily advance the specifics of the Curtis story which has a large body of evidence to much of it.

15. I guess I expected more...
And so far I've only seen one photo that ran on the AP wires. Somewhat disappointing for the buildup. And we had a poo-pooing editorial yesterday from the Columbus Dispatch editor. I think that may actually get a response from me at some point.

12. It's not been boring.
The info foreplay is getting intense. Heightened expectations. Any time now the News Fairy will roll over and fall asleep leaving me aching for the truth that I can't quite grasp.

Don't hate me for my analogy, my life is but a metaphor...`
