Signed-Sealed-Delivered.... We're Screwed
http://olympics.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=domesticNews&storyID=7008777

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Reuters) - President Bush carried Ohio by 118,775 votes in last month's election, 17,708 fewer than reported at the time but not enough to change the outcome in the crucial state, officials said on Monday

-the last sentences really piss me off...... Remind me again why I thought Kerry was a fighter??

He said Kerry "feel very comfortable" about his decision not to challenge the outcome in Ohio.

"We know we are not going to overturn the election," McAuliffe said

3. True Colors Shown Daily
The current admin shows it's true colors every damn day and 50% of Americans are either asleep or too dumb to notice!

It's depressing & its driving me nuts. NOTHING this administration has done has been on the up and up. Repubs blah blah blah about the day he stood in the rubble at ground zero with a bullhorn. Yeah, that was great. But it didn't buy him a free pass to sovereignty.
Since then he's gone downhill fast and is fucking everyone in America over with his douchebag ways.

20. After he crawled out his hidey hole
and went he was sure it was safe, he finally made his way to ground zero to take political advantage of the worst tragedy to happen on American soil. He made me sick that day and I didn't find his totally selfish act to be unifying in the least. :puke: I won't give the chimp a pass for his disgusting photo op that day, because to me that's all it was.

40. I agree ... it didn't impress me in the least.
and it was for certain long after Bill Clinton showed up
in New York that Bush showed his face there. That was inexcusable.
Bush should have been in Washington by afternoon September 11, in
New York by September 12.

Giuliani was OK, but really, any decent human being with half a
heart, in his position, would have done just as good a job.

10. Worst President Ever
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=7007838

The White House had once hoped that budget surpluses, projected in 2000 at $5.6 trillion over 10 years, would fund the transition period. But those surpluses have vanished.

The federal budget deficit hit a record of $412 billion in the 2004 fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, and the Congressional Budget Office has projected $2.3 trillion in accumulated deficits over the next decade.

We're on the highway to hell...

http://www.dissidentvoice.org/Dec2004/Sandronsky1206.htm

Officially, the people of Fallujah, Iraq, are being “saved” with bombs and bullets by the Bush White House. The flattened city roughly the size of Sacramento is proof of that. Meanwhile, the administration is pressing forward to save the Social Security system for Main Street America.

29. Where do you get the idea he doesn't give a fuck
Flipping the election and working on voter reform are two different issues.

So many here are so fond of taking Kerry's words and playing secret code with them, as if he were Lassie.

"What is it Kerry?"

"Woof, woof!"

"You say there's voter fraud in Ohio and we should fight? You want us to follow you?

"Woof, woof!"

He said that every vote would be counted. He has shown us in supporting the glib lawsuit and sending money to Washington and Louisiana that he means it. He said no matter the outcome of the election, he will continue to fight. I've been very happy so see evidence of that as well.

He has shown ample evidence that he indeed gives a fuck. Whether he thinks he can still be prez in 2004 is another matter. He's showing signs that he doesn't personally think so. But that doesn't mean he isn't going to make sure that every damn vote is counted, and that he isn't going to support investigations into vote fraud. He is.

People have said this issue is bigger than Kerry. It's not about him getting into office; it's about exposing the fraud. He appears to agree.

Flipping the election has a time limit. Exposing the fraud does not. I have all but resigned myself to having Bush as president. Something pretty massive would have to come out at this point to change that fact. I don't see it happening. But that doesn't mean I expect everyone to give up come January. In fact, I would be very disappointed if they did. Commit to exposing the fraud in the long haul. Demand that the vote be fixed no matter how long it takes.

I also don't understand why news of the certification is such upsetting news to some. The votes couldn't be recounted unthey were certified, I thought we were told. I thought this was what we were waiting for. And Kerry and/or McAuliffe aren't saying anything different than they've been saying so far. I'm taking them at their word -- no more, no less.

Here is the Common Cause info. It is open to the public.
http://www.commoncause.org/site/pp.asp?c=dkLNK1MQIwG&b=186966

December 6, 2004: Activists from around the country are preparing for an in-depth look at what really happened on Election Day, as Common Cause co-sponsors "Voting in 2004: Report to the Nation on America's Election Process." Common Cause is teaming with the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and The Century Foundation to conduct a day-long non-partisan presentation tomorrow that will feature members of Congress, state officials, electronic voting machine experts and organizations that had workers on the ground on Election Day, observing and collecting information.

This will be a great opportunity for Common Cause members, supporters, and citizens who are concerned about our nation's voting process to come to the Hill, and hear from leading national experts about our election systems.

In addition, Common Cause will tomorrow release a preliminary report based on extensive election monitoring activities: Report from the Voters: A First Look at the 2004 Election Data/Common Cause Agenda for Reform, which includes participation running a national voter alert line (1-866-MYVOTE1) that received nearly 210,000 phone calls from 50 states, more than 1,000 election monitors nationwide and the collection of more than 1,700 voters' stories on our website. Using this unprecedented amount of non-partisan data, Common Cause and other participants will help reveal the most accurate picture of what actually happened on Election Day.

We will present this "Report to the Nation" on tomorrow (Tuesday, December 7) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room G-50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington DC (Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room G50, is located at Northeast of the Capitol, bounded by Constitution Avenue, Second Street, First Street, and C Street, N.E.Washington D.C). We will also post the report on our website Tuesday as well. Please make sure to check our blog for the latest updates.

30. This is what we need to focus on- IMHO
Blackwell oversaw the election process while serving as one of several statewide GOP leaders who co-chaired Bush's campaign. The 2000 Florida recount was also administered by a Republican secretary of state, Katherine Harris, who is now a member of Congress.

How the f is this in any way legal?!?!?!?!?!
And WHY DIDNT WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS CONFLICT OF INTEREST AFTER 2000?

41. More screwed up than anyone else.
We need to make the tangible moral and ethical uprightness of New England into more of an issue. This country was founded by many a man from the land of the puritans (Adams, Franklin, etc.) on the basis of deep and Honest spirituality, not the blowhard hipocracy that is being forced on us mainly by people from morally corrupted places like the south.
