2. Can't listen, are they doing anything more than debunking
and telling us all to stop worrying and move along?

5. Neil Conan host said
We're covering "why the exit polls were off target" when he came back from break.

Discussion seems to be totally in line with that premise so far.

In other words, totally ignoring any possibility that exit polls were right and election tablulation was wrong.

12. Actually, they ARE doing their "job" as they understand it --
putting their stamp of respectability on the propaganda known as conventional wisdom.

10. Now Neil is talking to
Roberto Suro of the Pew Hispanic Center.

Still analyzing why the exit poll was wrong, now with regard to hispanics. Says that they oversampled Cubans in Miami.

13. Caller just raised the issue
First talked about the disenfranchisement in 2000 and that it may have cost Gore the election, then asked whether after the current election there are any ongoing concerns that disenfranchisement changed the result.

Guest (Ron Walters of Univ. of Maryland): There are a number of concerns and investigations that are ongoing in Indiana, Florida, Michigan... In Ohio there were very long lines and not enough polling places in black areas while white precincts had adequate polling places... Some machines seemed to have been prescribed to count votes only up to a certain number and then started counting backward... so there is a drama going on in Ohio.

Conan: Enough to swing one of those key states, Florida or Ohio?

Walters: I wouldn't be surprised...

(I didn't get every word but you can get the gist of it. At least the issues were mentioned briefly and treated seriously. Program is over now.)

15. Which group is Ron Walters connected with in this tainted election?
Is he part of an investigating team of some sort, has he written a paper, or is he just a guest who's giving an expert opinion?

Conan: Enough to swing one of those key states, Florida or Ohio?

Walters: I wouldn't be surprised...

Well, that's music to my ears :)
