Why use exit polls at all if they are so "untrustworthy"?

Maybe it's because they really are accurate, after all. Otherwise, no one of importance would pay any attention to them. And they would just serve as viewing entertainment for the masses.

So... could it be that the true purpose they serve is to report back to those who need to know what's really going on out there? After all, before you steal an election, you first have to know how many votes you are going to need, and in which states you must get them from.

Behold, our great electoral system.

1. Could very well be
But now I hear that the Repugs are trying to do away with exit polls altogether (at least in this country). Gee... I wonder why?? ;)

2. TIA:
Do you rmember that the exit polls were so bad (for Bush) on Novemeber 2nd that the "numbers" started to change in Florida and Ohio right after 4 PM?

Of course, the exit polls are the "call to arms." I'm convinced that the exit polling numbers triggered the fraud. That was probably worked out in detail before election day.

4. I think I remember hearing
several days after the elections that Santorum proposed doing away with the exit polls. We had better keep our eyes on them. It really amazed me that they succeeded in putting all of these paperless voting machines everywhere.....Unbelievable!
