Warren County Ohio PLANNED FOR SHUT DOWN on Oct 28th
Edited on Thu Dec-09-04 04:38 PM by DoYouEverWonder
in a closed door meeting!

So this terrorist threat wasn't a sudden emergency. They planned it in advance? I didn't know terrorists had started sending announcements?

County Commissioner Pat South has said the decision to lock the doors election night was made during an Oct. 28 closed-door meeting (the Thursday before Election Day). But in e-mailed memos dated Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 - released Monday after an Enquirer public records request - other county officials were already detailing the security measures, down to the wording of signs that would be posted on the locked doors.

10. Probably at least until after Christmas
In the meantime, we need to keep plugging and uncovering more evidence.

5. Can someone confirm this...
I am not a lawyer but I know criminal intent to commit fraud when I see it.

Isn't this like planning to yell fire in a crowded theater and then a week later actually committing the crime?

Anyone else want to chime in on this thought?

Since she published the article on 16 Nov 2004 one might think she's done some follow-up. Maybe someone will want to wrtie her and ask.

Peace.

11. No one has been abe to figure that out. I did find out that Spaeth is the
maiden name of Cincinnati mayor Charlie Luken's exwife.

12. Found a few more nuggets from staff writer Erica Solvig

As the nation awaited Ohio's presidential returns, Warren County elections officials were still waiting for the last ballots to be delivered from Maineville early Wednesday morning.

They didn't arrive at the county administration building until almost 1 a.m. The delay kept candidates and residents up until 2 a.m. to learn final, unofficial results.
<snip>

Counties are allowed up to 1,400 voters per precinct, and Warren County's 157 precincts haven't reached that limit yet, according to Warren County Board of Elections Director Susan Johnson.

In many instances, election officials improvised, moving ballot booths from a less busy precinct to ones with long lines.

<snip>

Even so, early results were reported well before Warren County began seeing numbers.

"After all of the battles that went on ahead of time, Election Day came off with surprising smoothness," Hamilton County elections board chairman Tim Burke said.

"Election Day came off with surprising smoothness"? So shutting the offices of the Board of Elections because of a supposed terrorist threat and he thinks everything went great?

14. Tim Burke was probably referring to Hamilton County as he would not have
been privy to Warren. Warren truly is podunkville and you would never voluntarily drive there unless you had to. It's called Fields Ertel Road and I heard it sucks all the time.
