through any of the options such as arnebeck, bev harris, conyers, recounts, congressional hearings, jesse jackson, or anybody and anything combined, no matter who or what, how is bush going to be removed from the white house? impeachment? what?

henslee posted this in another thread:
The last time a full state Pres. recount happened was Kennedy vs. Nixon in 1960. The state was Hawaii. Kennedy challenged the results and here's how they resolved the elector deadline vs. recount conflict... They created a second set of electors in addition to the first, which had Nixon as victor. The new electors were to award the votes to whomever won the recount which ended up being Kennedy -- so it was this second set of electors who went to D.C on Jan. 12 of 1961.
This 1960 recount did not effect the Pres. results but in 2004, though a longshot, it just may. Either way, counting all the votes is a good thing for democracy.

Washington DC is over 90% Democratic. It should be a piece of cake to get the Washington Water Authority to close the valves to the White House. How long do you think they'd put up with chamber pots?

You need to prepare yourself for 4 more years of Bush - none of the election efforts are going to remove him from office. I don't think any of these groups have defined that as their goal - which is to ensure free, fair and honest elections.
We can be as successful as GE, and it still won't remove Bush from office.
Bush will be inagurated and he will continue to serve until a scandal or something else brings him down.

one scandal that should bring him down ought to be the fraud issue. if other issues surface, so much the better, but we can't just sit here lamenting our fate. there MUST be a legal way to get him out. there's not gonna be a 'next time,' because whatever they have fraudently gained so far will be doubled, quadrupled next time. yes, i know it is a catch-22, but . . . we must win now. this election is not over until it is fixed (to paraphrase jesse's and arnebeck's words)

in Ohio or elsewhere go for Kerry - after Jan 21 - Bush is the President, because state legislatures pick the electors by any means they choose. A popular election is just window dressing and cover for those with the power ... your State Senate & House!
They could flip a coin or race cockroaches to determine the elector slate if they wanted to ... at least Constitutionally

we must galvanize public opinion so that it is impossible for him to be inaugurated. As Conyers alluded, we can successfully embarrass the republican congress into acting against the administration if the public perception overwhelmingly shifts.
We must not allow this treasonous administration the chance to wield the ultimate power the fraudulent elections and redistricting have allowed.

A Bush impeachment and conviction would be possible if his approval ratings fell significantly, but unfortunately we will all be hurting if that happens. The ugly national social mood that would generate an impeachment environment could be created by events like a stock market crash, a severe economic recession or a forced retreat from Iraq. These very bad events could produce revulsion by the populace and the Republican Congress to such an extent that the Plame, Halliburton, National Guard, Stockgate or other scandals might be used to get rid of the guy. Unfortunately Cheney then becomes President.

Halliburton cases being investigated. If he then becomes president, he'll likely follow impeachment also. We will then be stuck with Hasert(sp?).

27. I would think that depends on what can be proven. Fitzgerald, who is |

trying the Plame case, is Republican. I don't think all Republicans are neo-con extremists and don't want to ruin their party for a long time, so could go for the impeachment. But, I could be wrong....

But the things you mention are all happening anyway. Cheney does not command the loyalty Bush does; remove either Rove or Bush and the whole gang will fall apart.
I'll take Cheney over Bush, we can handle him.

is going back to Texas and you can depend on the voters informing him of that fact! I would just love to know the actual vote count for Kerry and I think it is many more than 55% nationwide. The chimp's support is about 39% in my estimation. We must get the votes counted and we must get every Kerry voter in this country to pay attention to this and back up Kerry's win in Ohio with all the support they have got! Start writing your representives NOW and tell them we expect the fraud and lies to stop immediately.

and say it's just a CONSPIRACY of the LEFT trying to bring about a COUP HERE IN THE US!!!
You know they will. Haven't you all been seeing and hearing of threats of violence etc if anyone tries to "remove their president"?
The rightwing nutjobs would love nothing more than an excuse for a civil war - they don't just disagree with us, they HATE US.
Their hate-mind-set reminds me of Rwanda.
I'll expect the worse.
But one thing I do know, like someone said above, if we don't remove this mafia from office now, it's OVER. Forget about anymore HONEST ELECTIONS. They'll just improve their technique.

After seeing what we did in this past election, I am sure we can muster the forces again.

It is funny how the freepers don't care how they win -- as long as they win. Democracy means absolutely nothing to them. They talk a good game with their "puppet democracies" they are trying to establish, but when it comes to our country they don't care.
They really are some vile, evil people.

I think turning off the water to the White House would be great. They will not leave. If a recount shows Kerry winning, they'll scream COUP to high heaven, and many Americans will unfortunately believe them. It would be beyond messy.
I think the truth about 9-11 would shatter the GOP, Bush, and perhaps a few Dems. I don't claim to know what that truth is, but what I do know is that Bush and Cheney have fought any real effort to reveal this truth. Instead they have created a myth and sold it to this country and essentially this myth is the sole protection. Pierce that myth with truth and the house of cards will fall.

26. Constitution and Precedence |
|
History quiz - when were both the Presidency and Vice Presidency simultaneously occupied by people, neither of which had been elected to the office? Answer - Gerald Ford and Nelson Rockefeller. If the president leaves office, the VP becomes president. The (new) president then nominates a VP who takes office with a majority vote of both houses of Congress (25th Amendment). Recall - Agnew resigned and Nixon appointed Ford. Nixon resigned and Ford became President. Ford appointed Rockefeller. Thus neither President nor Vice President were ever elected to the office.
Assuming Bush makes it to inauguration there is no way out. The only way he can be removed is resignation or impeachment. Cheney becomes president. He appoints a new VP. Hastert only become President if both Bush and Cheney are removed at the same time. No Congress in its right mind would remove both the President and Vice President at the same time. Too much instability in the government.
