Lies and surrender are not healing
If Kerry concedes now, who is never going to vote for President again? I won't. IF we continue to live here (I adore Oregon and always will-America is other place all together) I will vote for local issues, those always matter to me, and when people say they don't vote-I'm always like what about the library, the sales tax, the schools, abortion, smoking ect.?? How can you not vote!!!

But President. Fuck it. I don't care anymore. It's a joke. I believed in Kerry. I will never believe in the Democrats again.

Do you hear that Democratic party?

I will write in my own name first. I will never support another Democratic candidate. I WOULD have to be shot before I'd vote Repuublican. This is from a rabid Kerry supporter.

LIES and surrender are not healing.

That Nov. 2nd I would vote for Kerry, and Nov. 3rd I would re-register Independent (Decline to state).

2. Stop it
I don't know how old you are but I have been through this crap a time or two. Contray to poplular belief on this board IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!!! Yes it may be a very bumpy ride for the next 4 years but you will and you must continue to participate. We may have just taken 10 steps back, but change doesn't happen overnight. Look at the civil right movement-we are still fighting this today. When you believe in something so strongly you will rise again. You may get knock down over and over but getting back up is a sign of character and I refuse to believe that the posters on this board do not have strong character. Mourn, be angry, cry, stomp and then put it behind you and go on. Believe me this is not easy for me either but know you are not alone. Beside just think how many time you can say "I told you So"

5. I want to believe you Alleycat
But I have grave concerns. If Kerry and the Dem leadership roll over without a whimper on this, how can I trust them to stop the appointment of 4 new Scalias to the Supreme Court?

By not fighting, Kerry has demoralized or destroyed the Dem's base of supporters. HE has shown the neocons that their tactics work and that the Dems have no stomach for a fight. Kerry tried to pander to the Right with his "I WILL KILL OSAMA BIN-LADEN" posturing.

How many people are going to give money to a party that WILL NOT FIGHT?

I will continue to fight, I won't give up, but at this moment I have very little respect for Kerry and the Dems.

6. I'm going to be 42 fucking years old
I lived through the Reagan/Bush nightmare. I thought that was bad. Now I'm losing hope. THERE ARE SMART people in the world. They are the minority in America, apparently. I despise lies and ignorance. I despise propaganda.

We are going backwards. This is the same fucking fight from 1968. They used the Vietnam WAR against Kerry. Now we have Vietnam part 2.

Stupid fucking country. Stupid.

I'm glad I don't have a son. I would never sacrafice my son for these lies. Enough lying to yourself, America.

Your children are dying for an ideology and a war that can't be won.

Stupid. You are stupid. It's not getting better. It's a fucking nightmare, goddamn Groundhog day, over and over. Nothing gets better.

If we can't beat Bush, the Democratic party in America is doomed. Revolution people, maybe the sixties are going to be fought all over.

THE NEXT Four years??? Do you really think that there is hope for this country after four years of Bush using all out propaganda to destroy:

The middle class
Social security
Abortion rights
Medical research
The environment
Stir up the terrorists a little more... fun fun fun...

When Kerry said it was the most important election in our lifetime, I believed him. It's over.

3. Two thinsg
1.- Just like you I no longer trust the electoral system (Yes they stole it and I don't care what the corporatist media says)

2.- YOU NOT VOTING in teh Presidential Election IS EXACTLY what they want from yuo.

As much as you and I may want to throw in the twoel and never vote again and just go, Fuck it, don't give them that victory

Now steps needed to reestablish credibilty

We do need a National Voting standard.. and quite frankly (yes I like computers but not for voting) what we need is paper and pen... period. Paper and pen and hand counts... yes boxes can be stuffed but it is far easier to do it with GMS software such as what Diebold uses

The fight start today to get that standard on the nation... paper and pen, paper and pen, paper and pen.

Don't give in, taht is what they want you to do

hell before I became a US Citizen I voted in plenty of rigged elections and I did it because it was my duty... and this is our duty even now

11. I understand but who's fighting for Democracy
If the votes don't count, why is this a Democracy? Why should I believe? And if Kerry doesn't fight..who am I to believe? I just don't know what to believe. I'm not saying the elections are rigged or not. But damn I want every last vote counted. If Kerry and the Democratic party don't understand that, after 2000, then they are toast. Really, because they votes don't count anyway..so what's the point?

Who is fighting? Who??? And how?
