a small, but good thing, to hang your hat on
I've noticed a lot of freepers and repugs getting really steamed lately at the idea that some people consider chimpy's re-election illigit. The repug pundits are definately picking up on this stuff and it seems to me that their angry reaction gives the illigit idea some credibility...in a weird way. Does this make sense?

2. makes all kinds of sense...
RW talk radio is going berserk with shrill "get-over-it" shouting.

The more of this that gets into MSM, the more worried they become -- which puts them into attack mode...

a good sign in my book.

4. Piss off freepers and inform Kerry suopporters at the same time
Guerilla marketing uses unconventional means of distributing a message.

Viral marketing describes any strategy that encourages individuals to pass on a marketing message to others, creating the potential for exponential growth in the message's exposure and influence. Viral marketing often comes about because of "buzz".

Before the election I was using guerilla marketing in my GOTV street canvassing. Some DUers did join me but it was not nearly enough to create media buzz. People of course were phone banking, canvassing and writing LTTES, all of which were very important before the election. Now that we have time on our hands and an army of hopefully willing participants, IMHO a brilliant way to take the next step and get the word out to those who do not frequent lefty web sites is:

What we can do right now is use poor man's advertising and free delivery systems, ie. DUers to spread the immediate message, that the election was fraudulent.

Right NOW we at DU CAN just like the mean girls in highschool start a whisper campaign against the chimp's reputation. How you ask? By using guerilla and viral marketing techniques.
Do this:

download the files below and go to Kinkos and make copies.

BUSH CHEATED is color but can be printed and
photocopied B&W to save $$$. They print 2 to a sheet, so you will have to cut them.

download this and other files here:

http://somnamblst.tripod.com /

and:

Use the BUSH CHEATED and Blackwell RECUSE graphics to flyer cars or even BETTER...

Buy a can of 3M Super 77 spray adhesive from staples and glue the BUSH CHEATED graphic to metal utility poles, bus stop shelters, advertising benchs, newspaper racks etc. let your inner anarchist express itself. If enough people do this then the masses will become aware AND just like highschool Bush's reputation will be ruined.

This is something we can do RIGHT NOW. No dreaming just ACTION. I've started. I challenge everyone on DU to commit to disseminating at least 10 per day.

I had hoped to plaster Columbus at the rally Dec. 4 with both BUSH CHEATED & Blackwell RECUSE, but the wind was so bad it would have been impossible. I did however do some bus stop shelters and utility poles near campus in Cincinnati and none of my handiwork has been peeled off.

7. rosebud - you are so right on the money
Edited on Fri Dec-10-04 08:52 PM by ourbluenation
Somehow about 8 months ago I made my way to a message board for a really stupid tv show. (long story - don't ask). There were red state freepers all over it and then I showed up and shook it all up. The dialog was fabulous...lurkers started popping up and chiming in. Undecideds started to decide, and for Kerry. After the election I backed off the board since it was really my only purpose for being there. But a few weeks ago I went back and jumped right back into it again. Once again the freepers were wetting theri pants over W, but I started a little fraud buzz and now it's roaring.

My point is that these message boards, in the places where the reg joe ( and josephina in this case - The Bachelor - if you can believe it) hang out are like cyber coffee houses. We should all pick a message board or two and chime in amongs these people in middle america. The repugs have the pulpit - we could have the cyber world. it's a start anyways...

I live in a vacuum lately, no TV, hardly any commercial radio, work with like-minded (although not very fraud-aware) people, so I have no idea what's going on in the RW media. It's good to hear they're on their toes.

One way or another it does seem as if this has caught their attention and there is a concerted effort to discredit it, even on here at times, which suggests that at least some of them are worried. Maybe they know that they have something to be worried about?

22. I been lurking on the freepers and am surprised by
the absence of posts on election fraud. Looks to me like they are not worried and acting very smug that Bush** win will stand. They are in a for a shock when Kerry gets inaugurated on January 21st, 2005.

23. Yes, but if you want it do go beyond that...
Start calling them "Republicans."

There is a glaring hole in Rove's plan, if enough people can drop their red-team/blue-team blinders long enough to see it. You have the seeds of what it will take to court the grass roots out from under the Neo-cons.

Republicans (the real, grass root sort, not the Neo-con corporate shills) hate cheating. Cheating is wrong. I'm only beginning to realize how few people here on DU understand that thread at the core of the Republican mindset. We are brought up on sayings like "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game" and "Cheaters never prosper."

This issue (plus repeated hammering on Bush & company's lies) could drive a wedge between the Neo-cons and the bulk of the Republican party if only we (and I count myself as part of that bulk) can build a bridge across party lines, something along the lines of:

We may differ on who should pay for health care, but we all agree that cheating is wrong.

I brought this up in another thread. Seems to me if the hypocrisy of these so-called christian pundits was brought out in the open, ie - does hannity really go to church on sundays, etc, it would appeal to a certain type of republican...precisely the ones you mentioned above.

here's the thread...

30. Maybe we equate the election fraud
with the steroid abuse in baseball. Players take steroids and their accomplishments are diminished because they cheated. The end result is a fake. Bush's vote count was on steriods. Bush is a fake.

26. Sure do.
Please remember also that the fact that they've heard about it at all means that it's out there. Sure, we've got our share of trolls, but I took a much-regretted peek-a-loo over there, and there's more people worried about it then we have trolls.

Some of the posts were riotously funny. Is it Slush Windbag that is saying that the Dems are responsible for the fraud? I wonder, other than the obvious insane delusions, where are they getting that crap?

I am fascinated by the channels of information I am not attuned to. The ones on the freeper frequencies. The ones only they can hear, like dogs and certain tones, or epileptics and Mary Hart's voice.

That even on Fox News election fraud is being discussed now.I have seen numerous republican talk shows discussing election fraud over the last week.If the evidence of fraud weren't credible they would not be giving it air time.
The acknowledgment of the issue from the right is a wonderful thing.:)
