4. Here are some relevant numbers . . .
. . . for the counties starting the recount tomorrow:

Clinton (7:00): 32 precincts, 260 uncounted ballots, 7521 margin for Bush

Lake (9:00): 217 precincts, 1039 uncounted ballots, 3144 margin for Bush

Medina (9:00): 149 precincts, 1149 uncounted ballots, 11919 margin for Bush

Ottawa (9:30): 78 precincts, 211 uncounted ballots, 961 margin for Bush

Wood (9:30): 105 precincts, 757 uncounted ballots, 4191 margin for Bush

Jefferson (10:00): 91 precincts, 809 uncounted ballots, 1835 margin for Kerry

Holmes (1:00): 19 precincts, 570 uncounted ballots, 5771 margin for Bush

Fayette (3:00): 38 precincts, 197 uncounted ballots, 3041 margin for Bush

The uncounted ballots represent (total votes cast) - (recorded votes for each candidate). I don't know whether they are overvotes or undervotes.

6. Count me in
I have felt something in my bones for weeks now. I have no predictions, only a great deal of hope! I am one of those who hopes beyond hope that this election will be overturned.

A bonus would be to see SOS Blackwell led away in handcuffs. He is black and should, of all people, know better. How can anybody stop a recount that is already paid for?

Just because you are a repuke does not make you invincible. Everybody around me thinks I am misssing a few marbles. But tomorrow is the day I hope it will hit the fan!:kick:

Is there anybody else out there like me?

23. Why do they think you're missing a few marbles?
Tell them that "Former President Jimmy Carter - a veteran international elections monitor - pointed out that the Nov. 2 election in the U.S. would not have passed his certification in a Third World country." (http://www.notthistimegeorge.org/framer.cfm?liid=593&hl=0)

E-voting WITHOUT a paper trail? Ballots being counted ONLY by machines? I'd like to see someone in my home country Norway suggest this! That someone would've had big trouble being taken seriously ever again.

25. They say it will never fly
They say *boy will squash the whole thing and not only will he remain in office, but the repugs are watching me as well. I just give them a smile.

Remember the state I live in is quite red.

But that does not excuse my friends and neighbors.

10. I really really hope something will happen
but well, I don't know. I've thought that way all month. "maybe tomorrow something will happen. Maybe tonight. maybe the paper will read something." and come next morning, I go to the paper and there's some lame brain story. I check the web, there's some lame story there. It's not looking good, that's all I can say.
but part of me won't stop hoping. I just don't want to be disappointed anymore.

11. I am excited about tomorrow also
but, am trying to temper the excitement with some historical reality, like the fact that the MSM hasn't done much for us in the way of coverage so far, and may not come through as we hope tomorrow. But, I don't believe this can escape all notice...it will definitely be noticed.

13. It all depends now on the media
Without media, the lawsuit is only a small nuisance that will quickly go away.

24. The Dike Is Leaking
My prediction is similar to everyone else's here that the MSM will provide tepid coverage but a handful of journalists with a true dedication to exposing facts with editors who allow them to do their job will publish fairly balanced stories. I have exhorted the LA Times to be there and hope that they will. As you already know, at least a pair of mainstream Ohio papers have begun to cover now and again. The real news, though, will be when Kerry gets the phone call from Arnebeck telling him how things went.

26. IF IF IF
Ohio goes to Kerry and Kerry takes the presidency, it will be a lot of fun to know that thousands of fat cat Pugs lose millions of dollars on hotel packages they've reserved for the Unauguration of Bush. Ha! Ha! Bye bye money!
