Then why did you post this as a forum topic rather than just kicking one of the other "45" threads already posted on this topic?

Kerry Asks to View Ballots
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Published: December 13, 2004

OLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 12 (AP) - Senator John Kerry is asking county elections officials to allow his witnesses to inspect the 92,000 ballots cast in Ohio in which no vote for president was recorded, a lawyer for Mr. Kerry said Sunday night.

The request is one of 11 the Kerry campaign made in a letter sent over the weekend to Ohio's 88 county boards of election, which will begin recounting ballots this week.

"We're trying to increase the transparency of the election process," said the lawyer, Donald McTigue. President Bush beat Mr. Kerry by about 119,000 votes in Ohio.

9. Just the news...not spun:
"We're trying to increase the transparency of the election process," said the lawyer, Donald McTigue. President Bush beat Mr. Kerry by about 119,000 votes in Ohio.

Mr. McTigue said state law allows the inspection. The goal is to look for votes that were not registered by the tabulating equipment, he said.

13. Why do Dems and Repukes agree that the outcome of the recount won't
change the outcome of the election? If somehow Kerry comes out ahead in Ohio, it seems to me he wins the election, unless there are some weird election laws in place I am unaware of.

14. It''s a political game they're playing right now
Of course, if the votes come up for Kerry, he will be the President-Elect.
