does anybody know what's going on with the lawsuit? There's really no time left, so I hope he has.

going through 10 pages of threads. Because someone might see the new thread and have the answer.

That's why.

I am glad someone is asking this question as I have already asked it in existing threads. Blanket statements about "DU members" as opposed to whoever you are comparing us to are vaguely insulting.

exchange of ideas that might have been missed the first time around. There is no need for imposing rigidity. Stupid threads will fall. Good threads will sustain. If i like a thread, I will bookmark it. Someone who consistently starts dumb threads (I particularly dislike misleading, often hysterical teaser subject lines, grrr.) then just put them on IGNORE. IMO it all works out. I suspect that those demanding order also make their beds when they wake up and clean the top of the fridge frequently.

10. I disagree.
If somebody asks a question, it will eventually be answered. This is the hottest topic today and deserves several threads, imho. Besides, have you ever tried to wade through one thread with hundreds of posts? Its not easy, but can be entertaining due to our brilliant rhetoricians here! :D Point being, I'd rather read several manageable posts than one that's extremely long.

There isn't much doubt of that. I beleive that the lawsuit will attempt to overturn that result. What responsible person would wait until three hours before an event before filing a lawsuit to stop it?

Figure it would be kind of tough to be filing a lawsuit if you're at a hearing at 10:30 am.
So if it hasn't been done by now, don't see how it will be done by noon. Of course, it might've been filed and we just don't know about it yet, or something.
Are the hearings being broadcast on any internet radio stations?

Challenge Filed Hours Before Electoral College Ohio Vote
Court Could Decide To Hear Challenge

POSTED: 11:05 am EST December 13, 2004

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Challengers of the state's presidential election results asked the Ohio Supreme Court on Monday to review the outcome hours before the Ohio delegation to the Electoral College was to cast ballots for president and vice president.

If the court decides to hear the challenge, it can declare a new winner or throw out the results. The challengers said they also plan to ask the court to stop the Electoral College delegation's vote until their case can be decided.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson and Cliff Arnebeck, a Columbus lawyer working for the Massachusetts-based Alliance for Democracy, accused President Bush's campaign of "high-tech vote stealing."

Jackson said the challengers noticed Bush generally received more votes in counties that use optical-scan voting machines and questioned whether the machines were calibrated to record votes for Bush. .....
