1. That scared me more than anything, because to CNN, "reporting" means
giving their opinion of the situation rather than getting the facts of the case out...

2. That's not exactly correct
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 01:47 PM by htuttle
To CNN, 'reporting' means parroting whatever the Bush administration tells them to say rather than getting the facts of the case out.

CNN reporters that provide their own opinion of a situation tend to get exiled to CNN International (CNNI) if it doesn't mesh with the party line (aka., Whatever Happened To Jane Araf and Nick Robertson?).

3. That's a good letter from you to her.
Concise, to the point, and polite.

BTW, you might want to edit your post to remove your personal name.

5. Please write her again
and ask if they will be referring to us as "dissidents." :)

I really love that title; here I was thinking I was just patriotic.

7. Yes, they are calling us dissidents. Link here
It's a crappy story, but any publicity is good publicity...

16. Dissident? What's wrong with it?
dissident

adj 1: characterized by departure from accepted beliefs or standards 2: disagreeing, especially with a majority n : a person who dissents from some established policy

I can relate to definition #2 above. And #3

Is it so wrong to be called a dissident?

17. As a child of the 60's
I proudly wear the 'dissident' label. Dissidents saved America then, and we must do it again.

6. Do you know what you will get from that repuke whore?
Like the last hearing we will see about 10 to 30 seconds worth of "news reporting", then segway into a major report stating why shrub won by such a "large mandate"! The only upside I see in your email is the fact that Woodruff does actually read some of her own mail. Over the last year myself and many others have written her telling her what a corrupt repuke shill she actually is. I'm sure now she has read at least some of it.

15. call a spade a spade
and I never said she was referred to as repuke whore during correspondence (but i'm sure people have), although it would be the truth and people have a right to express their disgust.

8. Lou Dobbs should host "Inside Politics"
Judy Woodruff doesn't get it at all. Lou Dobbs gets it - except CNN would probably control everything he says anyway.

11. They're all under the same umbrella
Dobbs really isn't much better then the rest. The issue of outsourcing just happens to be an issue that he feels strong about. Look back on his career and you will see he has been one of the major voices for the repuke party. Also, if you missed it shortly after the election ( maybe the next day) he had one correspondent do a piece on how badly beaten down the Dems were and other talking points to inflict as much humiliation as possible. They closed the piece with both Dobbs and his correspondent grinning from ear to ear holding back all in out laughter.

Trust none of them!

14. If Kerry would fight harder, and stop saying he's not questioning
The outcome, then maybe people would take us more seriously.
I don't get it, how much more does he need?
