1. Audible gasps.... where did this guy Brad come from??
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 04:12 PM by tjdee
If this is legit, this rocks.

But where did this Brad guy come from? (Kind of late in the game for that question, LOL) Out of nowhere this guy comes with the Curtis story (also from nowhere)...

Hmm. But again--if true, and if this leads anywhere in the Republican controlled Congress, AAAAAAAWWWWWEEESOOOMMMMEEEE!

8. Yeah, I know...I meant, before that.
His site lists him as a software guy, and an "investigative blogger"... he might as well be me or you.....just was wondering if anyone knows anything about this guy, how he's got access to Curtis, etc.

Not necessarily being a doubting Thomas, just curious.

21. Updated w/ details
The BRAD BLOG has just received an exclusive first-hand account of Clint Curtis' sworn testimony (as reported earlier) to the Judiciary Committee Democrats holding hearings this morning in Columbus, Ohio on Election 2004 Voting Irregularities.

Curtis was the only witness to be sworn in at today's hearings. Here is the exclusive account as we've just received it by a very reliable BRAD BLOG source inside the committee hearings!

The following account may sound melodramatic but it is highly accurate.

None of these are quotes and represent my best recollection.

Do we know how relevant this guy is? They have already been trying to dismiss his testimony as hogwash for being fired from the company.?

78. When you consider that Curtis testified about Feeney's election fraud
in front of a judiciary committee (on which Feeney is also a member), it's hard to question his credibility. I don't think this has anything to do with animosity in regard to being fired from his company.

And I'm not surprised that the Repugs are busily looking for a way to dismiss his testimony. They don't have the capacity to understand that there are some people who simply want to do the right thing. Curtis has been trying to get this story out since 2000 but -- sooprise, sooprise -- no one would listen.

What Clint Curtis did today took a lot of courage: He testified under oath to Democratic members of the judiciary committee about one of their Republican colleagues!

At apprx 1p, after a witness had finished, cliff arnebeck -- who had given a presentation some time before -- interjected and asked to call one more witness. He was given permission to do so. He said he was calling clint curtis.

Some of the audience literally gasped while others applauded. They clearly knew who he was.

Curtis stood at the front of room with arnebeck seated behind him. Curtis was about five to ten feet from the members of congress. At the front of the room, he placed his hand on a bible and was sworn. To my knowledge, he was the only witness sworn.

Arnebeck began a direct examination of curtis with basic questions, name, residence....

Then got to his qualifications.

Then, he asked curtis something like whether voting machines could be hacked. He said yes. Arnebeck asked him on what he based that opinion. He said because I wrote a program that could do it. Arnebeck asked when that happened. Curtis said feeney had asked him to design such a program at yang enterprises.

Jaws dropped. Tubbs jones and waters looked shocked.

Tubbs jones, waters and nadler asked questions. Waters asked him to repeat who asked him to do it. Congressman feeney, he said. Nadler asked him some questions, as did tubbs jones and a state senator.

Curtis was asked what he would conclude if there was such a substantial deviation btwn exit polls and actual results. He said he would conclude the election had been hacked. Gasps. Could have heard a pin drop.

In the end, curtis was very very convincing to everyone in attendance. He was a show stopper, a stunner. It was a really amazing moment.

Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 04:39 PM by quiet.american
As usual, the Kool-Aid drinkers have run with their own version of events rather than the full circumstances.

As I understand it, documentation backs up Curtis's claim he resigned, and then stayed on six more weeks at the company's request until they were able to find a replacement for him. Doesn't exactly add up to "fired."

(Wow, you guys above me are fast!) :)

He has verifiable proof that they used this program .. that is the reason for them wanting to examine the e-voting machines?

48. Me,too
The conclusion leans towards his story being legit in that heretofore it has not been disproved, was met with a very terse non-denial denial by YEI, and apparently is considered credible enough for Arnebeck to bring it forth very dramatically into the public arena, where Curtis, unlike Dr. Rice, or any Bushco official, was willing to testify to it under oath.

The name "Clint" was typed at the bottom of the sworn affidavit, and he struck it out, signed "Clinton" and initialed the correction.

Much like one might stike out "Mike" and correct it to Michael.

Maybe you should stop worrying about people trying to discredit him, huh?

55. I agree with your stance
I really want him to be legit, I hope he is. I am more cautious, especially after what happened to Dan Rather.

58. now the ball's in Feeney's court
he'll have to rumage up a statement which will, no doubt, be laced with traceable lies.

61. So far, so good
As much as I admire Mr. Curtis' bravery and patriotism, I too am a tiny bit nervous. I remember reading that he wrote the prototype for the actual program to be used. Is this the program actually used? I don't think we know that yet.

62. It makes sense in this regard
Kerry's letter called for an independent over look of the voting machines. Scanners and E vote did it not?

That suggests to me that is exactly what they are looking for, hints or suggestions of the program.

63. That is great news
I would enjoy it much more if I weren't so pissed off that they didn't air the hearings today.

and I can't wait for the Nightline investigation into whether it pans out.

We should ask Ted Koppel to have him on Night Line and see if Clint Curtiss stands up to the "Central Scrutinizer."

81. Here's an interview with Clinton Curtis

Very interesting read. He explains his reasons for coming forward and issues a warning to all Democrats to fix this now if they ever want to win another election. It appears that this guy feels he is in danger but that this is too important to keep silent about. Another Florida investigator investigating Cutis's charges was found dead, in what was ruled a suicide. Hmmm....

Already donated twice but I'm sending them more. They are our only hope now, not the Democrats sorry to say.
