Cheat Sheet - Cheat Sheet - Cheat Sheet - Cheat Sheet - Cheat Sheet
I just listened to a very frustrating interview on Democracy Now with John Conyers. It was an extended interview, but the one thing not covered was, of course, the most damning...

He advised Lisa and I on how to post a "cheat sheet" on the wall so that only the board members and staff would know about it and and what the codes meant so the count would come out perfect and we wouldn't have to do a full hand recount of the county. He left about 5:00 PM.

http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/121604Z.shtml

The New York Times article also omits this part of Sherole Eaton's SWORN AFFIDAVIT.

OK, media blasters, let's get this part of the story out.

Kudos to Will Pitt. So far, he's the only journalist I've seen that understands the importance of this story.

1. If they've got the "Cheat Sheet" that would be prima facie evidence
of FRAUD!

Unbelievable that they would be so stupid

12. honestly,it seems so brazen, so crazy...and why did officials just stand

by while the guy was flipping parts around?

and what sort of official info did the guy have to present in order to have this kind of access to a voting machine?

what about the "lockdown?" doesn't the "dem and repub witness" rule apply to all voting materials?

seems that a reporter should conduct an interview with this witness...

there are so many oddities here. if someone were willing to sign an affidavit, woudln't this type of person also be likely to call authorities-- get others involved-- before letting a guy flip the parts around, get insider info..?

and why in the world would the guy suggest numbers be posted to support "accuracy?" if the witness were really on our side, how likely is it that the TRIAD guy would be so forthright regarding efforts to "correct" the recount?

it all seems very odd to me...

that they can still get such easy access to the machines with everything going on?

7. Please format this as a task request for the Voting Issues Forum.
If it is posted there and in the other spots where it can be seen, it will be more likely to get attention. Also look foe the Media Task Force post in that forum. I also reccommend that you include a link to the media blaster:

10. NATIONAL MEDIA BLASTER WILL BE UPDATED IN ABOUT ONE HOUR
I'm updating the Nat Media Blaster right now and I will make that very prominent. Thanks Junkdrawer!

First, I have to post a lil' stat sheet about the recent round of "Blasts, then I will finish up the new letters and post the updated National Media Blaster.

Note: Don't use it until I post the update here since it doesn't have this most recent info. (Unless you want to write your own letter, of course.)

11. I agree. This is THE single most damning revelation so far!
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 10:11 AM by WritersBlock
You're onto something with the "cheat sheet" mantra. They can try to explain away the reasons for adjusting the machines (ala the Kos telephone interview with the Triad boss), and they can try to say the exit polls were wrong, and they can try to say all the statistics are just numbers, etc.

But even THEY can't gloss over a Triad tech telling election officials to lie!

14. A Bit of Caution
I too am extremely puzzled by this event.

If this is true, it would mean that there are perhaps dozens of technicians in on the fix and one of them is extremely stupid. It seems beyond belief that this large of a conspiracy could remain undetected. This is especially true if the technicians are asking BOE officials to participate in the fixing of the recount. The 88 Ohio BOE's are made up of equal numbers of Repugs and Democrats and I find it impossible to believe that these local Democrats would go along with fixing the recount or allowing a technician to willy nilly inspect and adjust voting machines. I could be wrong and this event and it could be the unraveling, but it appears in the face of it, unlikely. This thing gets wilder every day!

32. throw caution to the winds
You are reticent on two points:

1) "It seems beyond belief that this large of a conspiracy could remain undetected. "

Well, people have been known to be motivated by a) greed, and b) fear. Furthermore, there are many in this country who imagine that the cultural war against their fellow citizens is a Holy War or Crusade in which their righteousness justifies the means. Exhibit A: consider Weiner's new book's title: The Savage Solution: Arming America to Combat Liberalism."

and point 2) "I find it impossible to believe that these local Democrats would go along with fixing the recount..." Well, okay you qualified with "local," but Exhibit B: Zell Miller.

:)

37. I should have been more clear
I believe that it is undeniable that the threat of exposure to any conspiracy is exponentially increased with each new participant. Granted, I am unsure of how many techs might have been used to "recalibrate" voting machines for a recount, but if the number approaches 88 people, I am not buying that a conspiracy of that size would go undetected for long. If it was done with a few people, maybe it could be pulled off.

I think besmirching Democrats on a national level with the Zell Miller brush is just plain silly. A vast majority of the local Dem. observers and poll workers in Ohio have worked at the same polling stations for decades. This leads me to conclude that if these people are not screaming for recounts, the fraud must have been very subtle. It would most likely have been minor manipulations spread out over many precincts and counties. I wish we could get more info from the local Ohio Dem poll workers.

42. Well, they could be thinking 'who's gonna do anything about it?'
I mean, look at the trouble we're having now. Repukes control both Ohio and Florida and the entire federal government, so even if some dem poll watchers cry foul, who's gonna care?

43. My bet would be...
The techs were trained to "help the customer" by insuring that "this silly recount" of 3% comes out perfect so that a full recount won't be necessary.

Trace the orders, and Blackwell will be involved.
