Some silver lining
The next four years are going to be horrible. Our "leaders" will have to find a way to get out of Iraq "with honor" and will have to deal with the economy. Many conservatives are not going to take it any more. So let them, who made this mess, find their way out.

Of course, after the Newt "revolution" I was hoping that this was going to send the Democratic party for some soul search but it did not, not yet, maybe never, not with the same leaders.

1. I voted for Kerry like everyone else on this board....
However I have thought about what you said, and I can agree on a certain level. I hope there is a battle coming between the Paleo and Neo Cons as well....

4. I think you're right. They will eat their own and we get to sit and
watch and wait for our opportunity to take advantage of them and take over in 2006.

2. The one upside
We will get to spend the next four years watching the shrub fall flat on his face. Iraq is bad and getting worse. There is almost certainly going to be more terrorist attacks within the U.S. The economy sucks despite what the pundits might say. The list goes on. Eventually the sheeple will open their eyes.

3. The only silver lining that I can find in this sorry mess
is that Kerry won't be faced with a group of Iraq Veterans Against the War camped out in front of the White House. I did worry about that.

6. The silver lining I see
is that bush* owns it now. No more blaming the previous administration. When it all goes to hell we need to be ready to jump in and save it, but not untill the BFEE is burnt like a burger left on the grill.

8. Indeed. They control both houses so they cannot blame anything
or anyone on "gridlock."

Just as we all know that had Gore was the president during 9/11, we would have never heard the end of this. And he probably would have lost yesterday, even if he had reacted the same way, at least, by invading Afghanistan.

9. Bush has to clean up the horrendous mess he created
But I doubt he will.

I hope this will be the beginning of the end of this lunatic regime. Maybe this house of cards will fall.

12. We haven't hit rock bottom yet
Like any addict, you can't begin to improve until you hit bottom. Sadly, Americans don't seem to think we have suffered enough yet. The next four years should do the job.

Despite my deep sorrow, I believe we will not only take back the WH in '08, but after the fiasco that will be the 2nd bush administration, we will own the House and Senate as well.
