"Diebold technicians have tainted official voting machines"
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 09:14 PM by SueZhope
Someone posted this FreePress article on DU earlier
I have created another post because this one part of the article is HUGE to me.
I just want to make sure it was not over looked. I am wondering if anyone has more details on this .

American democracy hangs by a thread in Ohio
by Bob Fitrakis, Steve Rosenfeld and Harvey Wasserman
December 15, 2004

This part:

On Tuesday, demonstrators staged the latest in a long string of protests at the statehouse.  And at an evening hearing in Toledo, stunning new sworn testimony revealed that Diebold technicians have tainted official voting machines before a recount could be done, irrevocably compromising the process.

1. And Triad reps also; huge smoking gun; need depositions asap!!
In an affidavit filed along with the Cobb-Badnarik-Kerry filing that added recount tampering to their lawsuit, Professor of Computer Science Douglas Jones asserts that Triad Election Systems' visits to local Board of Elections compromises the credibility and integrity of the Ohio recount.

< This is big; there needs to be a deposition of the Triad Rep and election office officials asap. [br />How many offices did he hack(coverup fraud) the equipment in before the recount?
How many counties/precincts had compilers tampered with by Triad reps after the election or before the recount]

3. Thanks for pointing this out, SueZ
It sounds a lot like the Triad stroy that Conyers is working on now.

Also, from the article you link:

snip>

But early responses from the counties to Freedom of Information Act requests for their voting records indicate such an effort may already have been sabotaged.  Shelby County officials have admitted to discarding key election data.  One county referred requesters to the software company that programmed the county's voting machines, saying the company's permission would be required for access to a recount, as the code is proprietary.

The cover-up seems to be harder to hide than the original fraud.

5. at this point i am wondering if . . .
tainting the recount is part of a gop plan.

would they feel it is better to let some low level tech grunts take the rap and thereby cover up the real crime. it seems that the battery changing and the setting the machine for the recount excuses are too . . . um too . . . obviously stupid.

this has been the BFEE modus operendi (sp).

--- think aub garib (sp) the iraq prison ---- massive abuse of prisoners sanctioned from the top and a few troops get the rack.

6. I would think that since the machines
have been compromised, a call for a full hand recount is in order.

9. That would seem to be the only
option . . . . but someone had better make sure they get the right number of ballots (= certified headcounts) and have people overseeing the whole thing to see that the ballots counted are the correct ones for each precinct and that they haven't been tampered with.

With all the games the SOS has been playing, it should be obvious to everyone (even the deaf dumb and blind MSM) that the vote counting in Ohio was frauduent. Now we need some LAW to step in, as in is there such a thing as an FBI working for America rather than for *? Or an FBI that is competent to handle this rather than infiltrating groups of cookie eating little old ladies who don't like war?

GRRRRRRR.
