6. Here is the Board of Directors they are not sure exist
Board of directors:
- Linda Franz (Washington state), with knowledge of HAVA and pending voting machine legislation;
- Jim March (California), with expertise in lobbying and computer programming. March has been heavily involved in analysis of the Diebold software, and testifies regularly at California
Voting Systems Panel hearings;
- Joseph M. Bailey III (Washington state), founder of an electrical workers union for people of
color
- Thalia Dudley (Washington state), a member of the Dudley family, an African-American family who has fought for the right to vote every generation for five generations;
- Vickie Karp (Texas), who is also chairperson for the Coalition for Visible Ballots, and recently made the news with a billboard campaign about the need for paper ballots
- Agrippa Williams (Washington state), renowned for his work keeping black history alive, and the recipient of many awards for outstanding citizenship (he once gave a kidney to a complete stranger in order to save his life.)

This was posted by her ex-partner, David Allen, who then went on to suggest that Bev possibly made up these listed credentials. His exact words are

"Damn, you are good at being obtuse, I am stating the credentials Bev CLAIMS they have. No one has vetted these claims"

12. I am not her "ex-partner"
I was her publisher, her tech consultant and a contributing writer on the book. I was NEVER her "partner", thank God.

I did not "suggest" anything. Again, you are putting words in my mouth.

As Bev has been caught lying in the past, it would be wise to veet anything she says.

My comment was in response to your previous attempt to make it look as though I was endorsing the board's credentials.

My, what weasely tactics you employ.

20. You're joking, right?
Lord, Lord.
Thanks for that info.
I was wondering why the "board" went along
with the public character assasination of Andy.
You just explained a great deal.
The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree and
vice versa.

23. Well then, I guess any "voting" by the "board"
is pretty much superfluous.
As family members, they have probalby learned how
to NOT become a corpse on the trail.
Agree at all costs.
Even when it means eating your own. (Andy)
Got it.
Done.

17. Thanks for listing the Hall of Shame members
The fact that they went along with publicly bashing
someone who recently experienced the death of a family
member, has secured them a rightful place in the record book
of the cold blooded and heartless.

11. See they can't totally discredit her
because if they do, then they look like fools jumping on the bandwagon of any results she and the BBV crew may produce in the future.

I think the expectations for results were too high. Everyone expected their dollar to buy them some magic, but it takes hard work.

18. "Hard work" Where have I heard that before?
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 10:39 PM by BeHereNow
Look, IF BBV's "hard work" and trail of hurt people
ever produces tangible results that effect important change
in what is wrong in this country,
I will be the first to commend Bev and her board.
At the moment however, I have only the actions they
inflicted on my dear friend, Andy, to measure them with.
And frankly, I am not impressed with those "results."
"Hard work" being cruel too, I guess.

They owe Andy a PUBLIC apology; anything less is
indicative of their true nature (juvenile and vindictive)
and I have NO use for such people.
I hope they suceed in their quest to reveal a smoking gun, but in the
meantime...
What they did to Andy is SHAMEFUL.

BBV is "hard work"? It is even harder when you have Bev Harris pissing on your efforts.

Clearly we are through the looking glass.
I no longer remember which side we came through either,
so I'm not sure how we get out.
Honestly, the family board members factor
is macbre to me at this point...

He said that Bev Harris benefitted from a lawsuit, without saying the defendant was DIEBOLD.

It was misleading to leave that out.

25. He also didn't mention
how Bev SWORE she would never file such a suit in the first place. How was it she put it? Something about never "soiling her hands" with qui tam money?

This was when she smeared about a dozen people with the accusation that they had sold out and filed a qui tam.

Bev then SWORE she never accused anyone of filing a qui tam.

Then she DARED anyone to prove she did.

So, I did:

Re: Heroic work today

Well, it all makes sense now. It only took me a week to figure it out.

Hope you got EVERYTHING on that web site for the .org site.

Okay, first, I'm not going qui tam. Nothing in my gut feeling about that has changed; it's not the path for me. I will talk to the lawyer tomorrow, because a lot of the activists have gone that way now, and I want to know a lot about it so I can more easily recognize the symptoms. Do you realize how many people they'll shut up this way?

The reason Rox thought it was "unethical" that I outed the ISP for confiscating our FTP server is that she and EFF were probably behind it in some way. The hint was MGKrebs, who wanted to know the latest thing we have in our book. If it appears in our book, you see, they can't use it for qui tam. If we have a copy of our own forum, you see, they can't use it for qui tam. That's why Rox kept emphasizing that SHE has a copy. A redacted copy, just for us.

So far, Dill, Rubin, Rox, Eloriel, and several others have gone that route, and though I'm not supposed to say, I expect Jim March to do so shortly. Quite soon, the computer experts available as activists will be few and far between.

I have kind of a delightful strategy, now that I understand what's going on.

Okay, I'm happier now. And David, we'll prosper. This is just a thing where you do the right thing, in the cleverest and most effective way you can think of, and let God take care of the rest.

You did a yeoman's job today. Tomorrow, I'm getting you 3, 4, and 5 -- While you work on finalizing those, I'll try to get 7 done. I'm thinking, as we discussed -- 7-8 go up Friday night after the lawyers go home.

I'll shoot emails to everyone I can to get a specific number of people to mirror Chapter 8, hopefully, at least 100.

Get some rest.

Bev

30. Atrios said Bev accuses people of planning to
file a qui tam against her.

Your quote above is interesting, but it doesn't provide evidence of that part of Atrios' statement on "The Majority Report" radio show.

31. Why is qui tam looked down on or it only Bev's spin ?
"soiling her hands" with qui tam money?

"This was when she smeared about a dozen people with the accusation that they had sold out and filed a qui tam. "

"Qui Tam or Whistle-Blower laws have existed in Western cultures for over 600 years. One of the first examples of Qui Tam legislation can be traced back to the Civil War, when Congressional hearings disclosed widespread instances of military contractor fraud that included defective products, substitution of inferior material, and illegal price gouging of the Union Army.
