10. Who is the media for?

It's Americans who are the customers of the media.
The media just gives them what they want. People don't want to think too much and therefore they like that the media does not question the govt.
It's easier for people to live in the belief that the govt is infallible.
Also If most Americans were aware of how the rest of the world sees them they would be so embarrassed.
The world thinks the Americans deserve * because even if they didn't elect him the first time, well they didn't do anything about it.
And if 52% are so dumb as to believe that Saddam and OBL had anything in common, well let send their sons and daughters to die in Iraq.
Anybody who blames lazy Americans for the state of things then fine, but you don't have to live with them and their opinions, you can just leave the country to them and their monkey president.
But if you stay, then fight!
Take to the streets, start a revolution, will it start of Jan 6th, well most probably.
And when the tide starts turning then the media will follow, they won't want to be on the loser's side I can tell you.
And even Murdoch who in the end is more interested in profits than loyalty (he screwed over the Conservatives in England when he saw how unpopular they were becoming), will take the side of the revolutionists.
Fight for God's sake stop complaining or blaming others.
