any idea/guess as to what the ohio sec. state meant?
when certifying the results on monday, kenneth blackwell, secretary of state for ohio, made this comment:

“Elections are human endeavors and as such they are never pefect,” said Blackwell, a Republican. “But I can say with the fullest of confidence that this election in Ohio was perfectly inspiring.”

wtf? setting aside the whole issue of his clear partisanship, what could he be possible meaning by saying that the election wasn't perfect but it was inspiring? inspiring in the country's acceptance of mediocrity in the political process? inspiring in the disenfranchising of a nation's citizens? inspiring in the ability of a private corporation to effectuate an election?

1. Yeah, WTH? Of course, "no election is perfect" is a common
cry from the FRaudies. It's certainly true if they are involved. Then again, what on earth did he mean by "inspiring?"

I'm with you. :argh:

5. Tavis Smiley NPR had Blackwell on today
You can listen at this link here. Sounded like Tavis and Blackwell might be old buddies. It seemed more like a platform for more of Blackwell's propaganda. Anyway, it was Tavis' last show. I listen to him frequently and like his show, but wondered why he wasn't covering this. Just wish he would've dug a little deeper here.

6. I thought the comments of that Poli. Sci. professor at the Ohio Electoral
vote on Monday was curious. He said something about the 'will of the many vs. the decision of the few' or something like that. It was so odd...they had this 'expert' lecturing the public with 'expertise' on why we should accept the alleged results. I watched several other Electoral Votes in various states on C-SPAN, and no other state had a 'guest speaker' lecturing on the outcome of the vote like that.

Interesting.

7. "no election is perfect"
Yet, nearly ever audit by a financial institution is. Right down to the penney. Of course, this simple means that penneys are worth something.
