Belmont, Jefferson Counties recounts done....
http://www.timesleaderonline.com/news/story/1217202004_new04_vote17.asp

Does this mean that they already recounted (by hand) both counties and the margins changed by 2, 4?

In Belmont County, Democratic challenger John Kerry picked up two votes. This showed the final vote tally as follows: Kerry, 17,576; Bush, 15,589; Badnarik, 66; and Constitutional Party candidate Michael Peroutka, 66.

Jefferson County Director of Elections Diane Gribble reported that Bush picked up one vote in that county, while Kerry picked up five.

Final results in Jefferson County show Kerry with 19,185 votes; Bush, 17,185; Bednarik, 85; and Peroutka, 77.

1. I'm still
very concerned about the 42% of provisional ballots that were disallowed in Belmont County.

11. The good news is there are differences -- YaY!
ANY differences between the hand count and the machine count means COUNT THE WHOLE COUNTY BY HAND!

Tiny differences are expected because they are signaling the machine operator what results to get. The fun begins when you count the entire county by hand Why else would they fight so hard to prevent it? It would be a huge propaganda victory for them to allow a hand count and show trivial differences.

Do we have access to the official precinct counts or did SOS Harris block it with his edict?

Also depending on how far ahead they know about which precincts were chosen might allow some ballot modifications.

One thought I just had... If any body does any dumpster diving and sees a bunch of chad, get a sample so someone can use a microscope to see if they have been using a card punch. A card punch has no business being anywhere in the Department. Might be fun to look at purchasing documents to see if there is one and where it might be. I'd love to find a smoking cannon.
