HELP! What ONE THING should I urge webpage visitors to do?
I've got a web page and would like to focus on a SINGLE ACTION ITEM at a time. Such as providing the link to

http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats/contact.html

so people can email Conyers.

Or send email to the media through ...?

The easier for the user, the better (like http://www.independentmediasource.com/voteintegrity.htm)

What should it be?
Suggestions please on what would be most important right now!

Thanks!

1. At this point (others may differ) I think the best thing to do would be
for us to look for a Senator to contest the EC vote in Jan.

www.congress.org lets people send email to their Senators and representatives.

And/or sign the Barbara Boxer petition... she's a Senator.

8. Well, the Boxer petition is here.
http://www.contestthevote.org/

and if they feel like it you could encourage them to use congress.org to email their OWN senators. we need as many as we can get.

2. Conyers wants the email to go to the GOP leadership, not his box
http://www.house.gov/judiciary/contact.html

So they can take the heat, and not crush his box.

(But if a few strays show up in Conyers box, hell, he'll manage.)

3. Conyers has asked that all letters in support go to the main Judiciary
site. The Democratic section has been jammed up with mail. He would like our statements to be directed to the Republicans in the Committee in an attempt to have them join up and do the right thing.

4. Inform others
We can't rely on mass media at this point.

5. roger that! but inform them about WHAT exactly?
I don't mean to be facetious at all here. I'm trying to make the page(s) as targeted as possible.

Should I rewrite the 20 Facts about Voting in the USA and make it reflect on the current Conyers-Ohio stuff?

Set up a "Tell a friend" CGI script at nightweed.com/angrygirl.html?

Or tell people to go to <.....> to read about <.....>?

I'm finding there's way too much information and not enough direction on what to do with it.

Thanks for everyone's help!

7. BTW, thank you Angry Girl!! For the brilliantly concise "20 facts" sheet.
That very well-written piece of yours has legs. It's going to ricochet through peoples' inboxes for months or years. It has doubters doubting their doubts everywhere.

9. Contact their senators! Tell them to stand up Jan. 6 and to vocally
support Conyers and the other reps NOW!

Conyers already has received tons of emails and he is doing all he can. People need to put their energy toward those who are not doing what they should be doing.

That means our other members of congress.

See actionspeaksportland.org for what we are recommending regarding this. Also election.solarbus.org has a lot of good stuff on contacting senators.
And see the numerous other DU threads on contacting senators.
