Can we have one consilidated thread for recount updates?
I hate posting these please-help-catch-all threads, but I've been running around like a maniac since Tuesday and cannot keep track of all the threads popping up here.

Where are we at on the recounts? Is there any good news?

Have there been any more thunderclaps like the affidavit I reprted last week?

One last question: If we do somehow get a Senator to co-sign, I read the rules as stating that the meeting will adjourn, and then the Senate gets to vote on whether to pay attention or not. If this is the case, does that not mean the GOP majority will just flush the whole thing?

Thanks for the help.

1. This would be a good application for the "demopedia" pages.

2. To answer the last one, yes but at that point, wouldn't
"flushing the whole thing" be an embarrassment even to kittenkiller Frist? So, in addiiton to their cya activities, they'd have to weigh the wisdom of such a vote.

3. Not to be a joykill
but I'm pretty sure they'll do it without thinking twice. That doesn't mean we shouldn't force them to do it - we should - but I am getting the sense that we need to prepare for the ram.

5. Preperation Means Staging A Theatrical Production, IMO
Honestly, which would look better and make for better viewing:

One Democratic senator giving his/her blessing

or

All Democratic Senators giving their blessing

There is no downside to signing onto this protest-

Fighting to allow EVERYONE to be able to caste their vote and to have it counted is the ultimate wedge issue.

If the Democrats in Congress can't grasp that they are unutterably stupid.

7. Yep. You're probably right. And we should work the other angle.

to the hilt.

I talked to a MoveOn mentor before the election, and expressed my concern not about a defeat but about a theft. He assured me that we were covered.

Ah, innocence. Let's drop our innocent drag for once and uparmor our strategy.
