15. Looks like you're getting your legs back Real Good!
Go for it Andy!
We love Ya!
We're with Ya!
( I'd say "We've got your back" but it seems to be losing its dependability lately)
But, I may just be low on faith myself right now. Dunno. Time will tell.
Be sure you put mine on there.

Wiley

5. listserv
Edited on Sat Dec-18-04 04:19 PM by suffragette
You have different options - some paid and some free.
Among the free ones are Yahoo and Smartgroups.
For Smartgroups , you just go to www.smartgroups.com, click on "Start your own group" and follow the instructions. You can click on "take a tour" at their site and find out more info about the process.
For Yahoo, go to www.yahoo.com, click on
"groups" then follow the instructions.

You can google on "listserv" and find out about more options.

8. decent article
Yeah, they're real easy to set up. It's all about which ones have the tools you want/need. Some have space for files and extras while others are barebones.
Some make joining easier than others (which is important to having members join and use them).
I've had a few so let me know if you need more help.

10. I'm a hosting provider
I operate a small website hosting business. In general, it's a paid service ($15/month and up to include mailing lists), but I sometimes provide free hosting for a good cause. You can PM me or visit yohost.com for more information.

12. What does your server run?
Are you using a web hosting control panel such as Ensim or CPanel?

If so you probably already have one.

If not, then installing one is not that difficult. Majordomo is the venerable solution but is showing its' age and is a bit clunky.

GNU Mailman is probably a better solution for you http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman

It's hard to answer without knowing what you're already running. For instance, Majordomo was originally designed to work with sendmail and if you are using qmail it can be tricky to set up.

18. I suppose that anyone who can provide this will know what 'listserve" is?
Edited on Sun Dec-19-04 04:50 AM by Lil
But - just in case, is it hard drive space, a software program, a server a web site or . . .? Ta. :-)
