They've been talking about voter suppression from the lack of machines.
I've been doing some tallies on the drop of precincts, I petitioned TruthIsAll to help with the actual data crunching.

But Franklin country (Kerry count) gained 20 precincts (one of the few that did) But the lack of machines to vote upon in that area, and the breaking down of the machines caused lines from 5 to 7 hours. In areas, were 600 or more voted it seemed most of them had between 4 machines or at least one of them was malfunctioned.

Like traffic, if someone hits their brakes, 100 miles down the road.. your get bottle neck x hours later. In this instance it didn't cause 1 hour worth of bottle neck but 5 to 7 hours worth

All in a county where 39 machines were sitting in storage.

in 2000 they had 681,949 registered voters in 2004 they had 845,720

that's plus +163,771 new voters. of 850,000.. 533,564 voted.

14,500 provisional ballots were cast in Franklin county.

It sends my jaw to the floor to hear about what these people went through to cast a vote. Brave, self sacrificing Americans, out there trying to exercise their right for democracy.
