JAN. 6:THE CBC WILL ONCE AGAIN CALL THE DEMS OUT. THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL
Edited on Sun Dec-19-04 02:28 PM by TruthIsAll
The Congessional Black Caucus.

WILL MICHAEL MOORE HAVE HIS CAMERAS READY?

ON THAT DAY WE WILL SEE JUST WHAT THE DEMS ARE TRULY MADE OF.
IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK THAT AT LEAST ONE TAKE A STAND FOR THE TRUTH?

OR WILL WE SEE A REPEAT OF "WE SUPPORT BUSH", JUST LIKE THEY DID BEFORE HE SHOCKED AND AWED THEM IN IRAQ?
WHAT WILL BE THEIR EXCUSE THIS TIME?

IF THEY CAN FIND IT WITHIN THEMSELVES TO DO IT, GREAT.
IF THEY CANNOT, CHENEY THEM.

THE TRUTH WILL EVENTUALLY COME OUT ANYWAY.

6. more like "haven't any constituents"
If a senator doesn't step forward this time, I'd say we have zero representation in the Senate.

10. By "I can't stop," do you mean that your job won't allow you to stop,
or do you mean that you are locked into an obsessive fight with algorithms?

9. CBC are the true patriots !

Why must they have the guts to tell the truth and no one stands with them.

It is a shame.

11. We need to demand that EVERY Senator stands with the CBC.
We need to tell our own Senators that we will call out ANY Senator who doesn't.

16. Many Republican votes for Kerry were stolen
according to Arnebeck (who is a Republican himself). I make no presumptions about how ANY state voted. Really. We DON'T KNOW how the "red" states really voted. You may be seeing Bushites crow--post-stolen election--but look at Bush--HE's crowing, and he is a total fake. Get your state's election returns and start analyzing (for paper ballot vs. electronic discrepancies, top of the ticket vs. lower ticket discrepancies, exit poll vs. official tally, etc. etc.! You may be surprised!

20. I wrote to Senator Wyden of Oregon
It was a respectful, but scathing letter recalling the civil rights movement. I asked him to ask Rev.Jackson what he meant by "a straight line from Selma to Ohio". I told him that it is shameful for Democrats to sit back while the CBC does the heavy lifting required in a Democracy. Anyway, I told him that whether or not he believes that fraud occurred, voter suppression & intimidation were widespread and done openly. Essentially I was calling him out seeing how he poses as a liberal.

17. I hope someone stands up! It's gonna make for some...
good drama! It'll be one hell-of-a historical moment. The way our represenatives have behaved in the recent past will not bode well in the history books. This on the other hand will be extraordinary. Biden? Boxer? Byrd? BBB - bring it on home! Stop the MADNESSSSSS!!!!

18. My congressman, Mel Watt, is the new CBC chair
And I am proud of it! :loveya: Rep. Mel Watt, (D) NC-12

Rep. Watt was one of the signers of the protest in 2000, though he did not speak from the floor. He is also one of original backers of Rep. Conyers' push to investigate election irregularities in the 2004 vote.

I once heard Rep. Watt speak to a group of about 40 people at a Democratic luncheon where there was no press in attendance. This was during the time in which Trent Lott was being pilloried for his racist comments. Rep. Watt saw this move for what it was, a blatant (and successful) effort by the Bush administration to install someone more to their liking as Senate Majority Leader. With sadness in his voice, he commented that we are closer than ever to a dictatorship as the Bush administration seeks to consolidate power at all levels of government.

Rep. Watt is a good man who will do the right thing. He may not be that well known outside his home state, but he has exhibited a quiet, thoughtful leadership that will serve him well in his new role.

22. I will NEVER forget
watching that heart wrenching scene with the CBC trying so bravely to protest the "election", and no Senator supporting them. I watched it live, but it was before I discovered DU. I also watched it alone, as even my ultra left husband was trying to move on by then. It was one of the most frustrating, isolating experiences of my life. I really can't explain how I felt. If I wasn't such a stubborn, self-confident sort of person, I would have left like I was the crazy one. Then, this summer, when I saw F9-11 and it opened with that, I cried like a baby. The scariest part of all of this deja vu crap we're going through now, is that our "press" is even more bought and paid for than it was then. They ignored it in 2000 when it really was a big, mainstream story. They'll ignore it again, even if a senator or two joins in.
