"Tell the top 52 national media contacts to cover the 2004 Presidential election irregularities fairly!"

Subject: Please cover the 2004 Presidential election irregularities fairly

Overwhelming evidence of election fraud through control of electronic voting and severe vote suppression is mounting. Currently, at least four very important stories are developing regarding 2004 Presidential election irregularities and election fraud: (1) 12/15 NYTimes: Lawmaker Seeks Inquiry Into Ohio Vote - asks the Federal Bureau of Investigation and a county prosecutor in Ohio today to explore inappropriate and likely illegal election tampering; (2) Rep. John Conyers held a second forum on the Ohio election questions Monday, December 13th, in Columbus, Ohio concerning new evidence of election irregularities and fraud in Ohio; (3) John Kerry has formally requested that county elections officials allow his witnesses to visually inspect the 92,000 ballots cast in Ohio in which no vote for president was recorded. The request is one of 11 items that Kerry is asking for as part of the Ohio recount; (4) Various legal actions: Contest of Election Lawsuit in Ohio Supreme Court, Urgent request to delay, or treat as provisional, choosing electors until recount is complete, Challenge asks Ohio's top court to review vote (the complaint alleges 130,656 votes for Kerry and John Edwards in 36 counties were somehow switched to count for the Bush-Cheney ticket), Kerry-Edwards 2004, Greens, and Libertarians have added election tampering to a civil suit filed. How you handle these and future stories is critically important for the American people and for your organization. If you do not give it the coverage it deserves, you will not only lose out as a news organizations, in competition with other news sources, including new alternative news sources on the Internet, but you will also be failing in your responsibilities as journalists and as Americans. Please visit the following url for more information on these, and other related stories: http://www.independentmediasource.com/voteintegrity_mediaresource.htm

Tell The National Media to Cover the Voting Irregularities!

Subject: Tell The National Media to Cover the Voting Irregularities!

I’m emailing you to ask you to join me in urging our national media to cover the 2004 Presidential Election problems. These problems are so serious that they have put the results into question. At the request of 12 Congressmen, the GAO (the Congressional investigative department) has agreed to an unprecedented investigation of the 57,000 reported irregularities. THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRAT, REPUBLICAN OR INDEPENDENT ISSUE. It is an issue that must concern all voters. It calls into question the results of the 2004 election, and potentially jeopardizes our future elections. If you would like to know more about all this, please watch the 12/8 and 12/13 Conyers Forums online (at the link below). You probably didn’t even hear about these important hearings from the national media - that’s a good indication of just how bad this lack of coverage is. You can also read short summaries (or the full articles) of the Under-reported stories, and see for yourself how the National Media has been neglecting this important story (at the link below). Please click on the url below to learn more; and then send the letter you will also find there to our national mainstream media. Thank You http://www.independentmediasource.com/voteintegrity_express_info.htm

Edited on Mon Dec-20-04 04:39 AM by tommcintyre
I just went back and rechecked, The list went through, absolutely clean. I wonder if its either your: ISP, email program, etc.

Also:
"email addresses appeared to be wrong. I got a much better response by simply cutting and pasting the above addresses". The list above is EXACTLY the same as those at the site. The only difference is a backspace to delete the punctuation ("," or ";"), and a return to put it on its own line.

If anyone else gets back anything else except autoresponders acknowledging receipt of mail, please let me know (details please - type of program, error msg, etc.)

Thanks

18. Tommy, I have a crucial addition to add to the list.
Edited on Mon Dec-20-04 07:55 AM by proudbluestater
I looked on DU for the media blaster list they have, couldn't find it. But I also noticed among their links they do not have a very crucial one.

There is a show on Link TV and Free Speech TV (both on Dish Network satellite, Link also on Direct TV), that is totally INDEPENDENT. Supported only by "viewers like you."

This is a one-hour daily show that is totally PROGRESSIVE. The host, Amy Goodman, has already reported on vote fraud and had Cliff Arnebeck and Jesse Jackson on, but I fear she's not getting updates.
Could we possibly add her to the primary list?

mail@democracynow.org

If you visit the site, you can see most of the transcripts from the day's shows right online. You can also buy shows. Lastly, there is a link to click on to have your local cable operator carry Democracy Now. It is available on some local cable channels as well, mostly local access channels.

has free email accounts, I pay for my account but they let me send out bulk mail. I just got rid of Aol recently and I did have a incident recently where someone figured out my passcode and sent out a bunch of emails in my name and AOL cut my services off, until I called them up and we figured out what happened.

On clicking the Outlook button, I get "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed".

31. If the other places you have em'd from launch your email program...
try taking off one media email contact at a time. It was very tricky setting up the Express blaster with all the info automatically loaded in the users email program. If the total length was too long (ems, sub line and body text) I would get a similar msg, or it simply wouldn't respond. I tested with both my resident Outlook express and remote web site host. Bur maybe your program has even a shorter limit?

Please let me know if this helps.

Maybe it's because I'm on a Mac using Mail for my email application. Still it was no big deal to make it work.

When I clicked on the launch my email button it filled in the addresses fine but it also filled in the email content area with all of the email addresses. I don't think it was supposed to work like that.

52. ELECTION FRAUD--MAINSTREAM MEDIA FAILURE
I sent the following email to your 391 list (thanks for the list):

"I am a 47-year-old who grew up watching the evening news with my father, who allowed no one to talk while the news was on. The reading of the Sunday morning newspaper was also a ritual in our household. News organizations were respected institutions that we depended on to structure our daily lives. Walter Cronkite, Harry Reasoner, Tom Brokow, Dan Rather, Barbara Walters, and others like them were considered reputable and honest individuals providing a
priceless public service. Until recent weeks, since the November 2 election, I had pretty much kept up my father's rituals. The local and national television news reports were firmly fixed into my daily routine. I watched all three presidential debates, from beginning to end. Today, I don't even bother tuning into the news stations anymore because of the lack of reporting on the election fraud in Ohio, Florida, and other states and the ongoing investigations and
updates. This is really not a problem for me. I can accept that all thing can and do change. But the thing that struck me today was how numb I have become about other things going on in the nation and world. For instance, a lady in my office talked about a report in the news of the tiniest baby ever born that survived. It was interesting, yes, but I didn't really care, just like I don't
care anymore about Lacy and Scott and their unborn son, or about the report of the baby that was cut from the womb of a murdered woman, or about Michael Jackson's trouble, or any of the other stories that have preoccupied your time. (One story I would have liked to have gotten in on was the riff between Malone and Bryant in LA. A friend told me about it, and I am sure I would have at least been amused.) If no one cares enough to report on the one thing that is most important to me right now and to this country--honest, fair, and free
elections, why should I care? This numbness concerns me, but more so I am concerned about the countless others who are being numbed because of your obvious neglect of this subject. I think that you, too, should be concerned about the collective numbness of the American public because of your industry's failure to report on this very important subject. I now get my news and updates from Internet forums, and spend my early evenings watching cartoons with my granddaughter. I just thought you should know this."

65. What a great letter, walkbyfaith7!
I've had a similar experience--but it's not that I'm numb or disinterested; it's that I know there is NOTHING I can do about any national problem, and the Iraq War and Guantanamo Bay, until we get back our right to vote! It's our fundamental and only power as citizens. We are "the governed" of "consent of the governed," and we DO NOT consent!

So I just avoid all other news stories. There is no way to make me more concerned or more upset. I am concentrating all my energies on exposure of the election fraud and restoration of our right to vote. I think it is such a terrible thing that people eagerly voted in great numbers to repudiate Bush Inc. and they're not out!

As for "numb" and "disinterested," a lot of people may appear to be so, because they feel so helpless. They did their duty. They voted! And nothing changed. Have pity on them--and inform them, and encourage them to DO something. Write a letter! --as you did. Make a phone call! We can change these by our collective action. We can do it!

Thanks again for this great letter. It is very moving.

Dear Rep. Conyers and House Judiciary Committee Democratic Staff Members -

I have emailed all Senators whose web forms are functioning urging them
to object to the certification of the electoral vote when the House and
Senate meet in joint session come January.

I do not concede my vote. The 2004 election is not over. Nationwide
abusive tactics of voter suppression, voter intimidation and vote
manipulation have stained our democracy by victimizing poor, elderly,
disabled and minority voters on November 2, 2004.

To declare George W. Bush the victor in the November 2nd election
without contesting the election would be a crime. Technically it may not
be against the law but it would be immoral. A majority of the Senate
saying the election outcome is legitimate will not make it so. There has
been a visceral reaction to the abusive tactics and the vulnerability of
our tabulation system with its code and software shrouded in secrecy.
Abuse and secrecy are not noble goals for a democracy.

I am just an ordinary citizen who has never before been an activist and
I am not alone. There are millions of other citizens just like me who
refuse to walk away from this issue. We will not stand for a stolen
election. We will not sit down and shut up. We are an intelligent and
technologically literate citizenry who will continue to speak truth to
power even if the Senate decides to certify the election.

This issue will not go away, because we will not go away.

We do not have a choice.

If we do not stand up now for what is right, decent and in the best
interest of all of our citizens then we have failed as a democracy.

So I ask the Congress and the President, where is the righteous anger
for the victims of these despicable tactics? Those of us who have had
the courage to speak out have been labeled liars, conspiracy theorists
and sore losers. Meanwhile, those facing similar circumstances in the
Ukraine have been lauded as heroes, and defenders of democracy!

Immediate action is required to ensure that THE 2004 ELECTION has a
legitimate outcome. We can not be placated with the same promise as the
last post election fiasco - this will never happen again, next time
every vote will be counted, every vote will count, and yet here we are
again. Only this time it is even worse because we have worked very hard
to ensure a great turnout, which we did promising all that their vote
would count and it, did matter. With that in mind, to let this election
stand and certify the results in the joint session would be unacceptable
and morally reprehensible. This aggressive assault on our most sacred
right, won for every citizen by the blood and sweat of those who have
gone before us must be stopped!

This is not a partisan issue. We are talking about the most basic right
of every citizen in our country, the right to vote. Why is it imperative
to this administration to ensure the right to vote for every Iraqi
citizen, at the expense of American lives, while at the same time, the
right to vote for every American citizen means so little that there has
not been even the most basic discourse regarding this vital issue?

If ensuring the right to vote, in this election, for every citizen means
a nationwide revote, just like the Ukraine, then so be it. If it means
using all paper ballots and takes three weeks to count, so be it. If we
are willing to sacrifice human life for Iraqi citizens to have that
right, then shouldn't we be willing to sacrifice inconvenience and
however much time it takes to count the vote for our own citizens?

The bottom line is that if the Senate certifies the vote in their
upcoming joint session, then they deny the citizens of our country the
right to free and fair elections. Without free and fair elections, we
mock the very precepts upon which our nation was founded.

By accepting corrupt results, we accept corrupt government.

By accepting corrupt government, we abdicate our role as Leader of the
Free World and denounce our own democracy.

So, I urge Congress,
Do the right thing.

Stand up for the victims!
Stand up for the vote!
Stand up for our democracy!

Answer the call.

With hope for the future,

69. I got a PM response from tom today; he's traveling but will try to set up
the Blaster for senators, and Ohio congress people to support them.

Anybody want to weigh in about the relative influence of email, faxes, phone calls, etc.?

71. That is great
you got in touch with him, I wondered what he was up to, I figured he was making a new blaster and must have been busy.

I don't know about the weighing in thing , but I was just wondering how many times I have used the thing all by myself. I must use it about threee times a week.

What are your thoughts about the impact that it may or may not have had.

Remember the song " If I could change the world"

Well we only have afew days left and I plan on using that thing several times a day if neccessary until JAn 6.

I believe we can change the world though.
