Does anyone have the specific language of the amendment, or bill stating the electorial college results , to be stopped , must be not accepted by at least one House member and one Senator? Thanks

1. It's a federal law -- not part of the Constitution
Try this:

I haven't read it yet, but it looks pretty good.

Somehere else online is a brief that was actually prepared for Congress back in 2000 that covers the whole process. I'll post a link when I find it again.

Please post anything interesting your daughter comes up with too!

2. Here is the statute
From the reference above:

VIII. PROCEDURE FOR REJECTING UNLAWFUL ELECTORAL VOTES

B. Procedure for Written Objections
Upon reading each of the states' ballots in alphabetical order, the President of the Senate is required by law to "call for objections, if any." 3 U.S.C. § 15. "Every objection shall be made in writing, and shall state clearly and concisely, and without argument, the ground thereof, and shall be signed by at least one Senator and one Member of the House of Representatives before the same shall be received." 3 U.S.C. § 15.
