Black Armbands.
Black armbands.

I just received a call from a friend with a daughter in law in New

York State.

The daughter in law had a PTA meeting today.

When she arrived they were handing out black armbands.

Each woman took one, put it on, and left.

Very appropriate it seems to me for the day Democracy in America died.

It might be appropriate if each of us, the entire DU, and then the

50 % of the rest of the country which still has sanity, wore black

armbands for the day Democracy died.

5. Okay then. Pass it on. Maybe
we could or should wear it every day he remains in office.

If anyone has connections to Move-On, please pass it onto them.

4. I wore black to law school today
My torts professor was dressed entirely in black. Many other students had on black, too. It's nothing we talked about, but we all seemed to be mourning democracy.

I'm an older than average student--38--and my 13-year-old daughter also wore black to her school today. She was taunted mercilessly by her bushbot classmates and even the f*cking teacher. She's one tough kid. She invited them to all enlist in the military. :P

Seriously considering studying international law to get a break from the inevitable melt-down coming in this country. I don't recognize the place any more. It sickens me to see the Christian Taliban in charge. Ugh.

7. Interesting. People instinctively wearing black. the armbands
could be a uniter and say all that is needed to be said.

Interesting thinking about it.

6. armbands -- why stop there ?
Hi Ms unidentified bass player here -- I wore black from head to toe today -- with my M.O.B. button and I will for a good long while I think. I am so sad, disappointed and just plain disgusted. Today is the day we start to plan for 2006 people -- we have four years to get it together to beat them and we should start now!

8. Black wreath and ribbon
I have a black ribbon for my car and I am making a black wreath for my door, if anyone asks me what they stand for I will tell them its the day my nation mourned. I will not run and hide from the "blinded" ones I will prepare for the next round. I will have the ribbon on my car til 08 and pray that the damage isnt so bad that it cant be undone. Mother Earth wept and the eagle screamed for they know this isnt right.
Blessings

11. YES!! I wore all black 1/19/01-- I am behind this!
I am on a listerve of sociology profs and many said their college campuses will filled with people wearing all black- silently and not really talking about it.

I stayed home today b/c I was basically a basketcase but I will wear all black tomorrow.

And the idea about the armbands is great.

Not only moveon.org but we should get united for peace and justice on this too!! And Michael Moore and musicians and such!!
