Democrats claim victory in Washington governor's race
Edited on Wed Dec-22-04 07:20 AM by jsascj
Sorry if this has already been posted. I couldn't find it.
(oops-just found it. Sorry)

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6744362/

"The head of the state Democratic Party says that recount results from King County give Democrat Christine Gregoire an eight-vote victory in the closest governor's race in Washington state history."

Naturally Republicans are raising hell.

2. Repubs Finally Claim Fraud
Here's the ABC News feed:

And yes, it was ironic to finally see Repubs joining the chorus of people crying "fraud" (although in this situation they are blaming the Dems):

...About 350 people gathered Tuesday to show support for Rossi in front of the Supreme Court, at a rally sponsored by a conservative talk-radio station.

The crowd chanted "No more fraud!" They held signs saying "Welcome to Ukraine" and wore orange, a tribute to the signature color of demonstrators in Ukraine who protested a fraud-marred election there.

5. Well, the election fraud issue is now suddenly newsworthy!
Not to imply the MSNBC and ABC are opportunistic lying-assed media corporations ... NOOOOOOOOO!!!

After the next president is locked in, I'm sure they'll be giving much more bandwidth to this issue. They need to get the momentum going for HAVA II and selling more unauditable voting machines.
