Here is an email from my friends in Switzerland:

"May God forgive the American people, because Europe certainly, will
not."

6. family in old Europe
Called me early this morning when JK conceded. Said that European news and people couldn't understand how the people in the USA could chose THIS man to represent them and the they were very afraid as to what this election result would mean for the world. We both agreed with all these sentiments and that there are many of us here in the USA who also agree.

8. Truer words were never spoken, but...
with a Shrub dynasty (you don't believe for a second Jeb Bush's promise not to run in 2008, do you?) ensconced, they'll only fall on deaf ears.

If I could drop everything I'd expatriate to France or New Zealand, but I can't. I'm too "dug in".

11. My German friends are just as baffled...
They totally do not understand how Bush could have won. Believe me, those Germans know a thing or two about fascist dictatorships.
