Nevada Elector Tells What He Did With A Letter Sent By One Of You Guys
December 22, 2004

Pahrump's Paul Willis one of state's electors

By BRENDAN RILEY
PVT

CARSON CITY (AP) - Nevada's last step in the presidential election - five Republican electors voting for President Bush - occurred last week minus the tension four years ago when just a few vote switches anywhere in the nation would have changed the outcome.

(snip)

"Does anyone want a recount?" Deputy Secretary of State Renee Parker joked, getting laughs from the state's Electoral College members and others gathered in Heller's office; a line that probably would have produced groans in 2000.

"There's a few straggling lawsuits out there, but I think we can handle those," said Heller, who was just sued by a Democratic activist claiming he's withholding election records that could bring Bush's victory in this state into question. Bush defeated Kerry in Nevada by 21,500 votes, 418,690 to 397,190.

Marvel, a veteran rural Nevada assemblyman, said he and other electors got letters from Democrats urging them to defect and switch their votes to Kerry. "I filed my letter you know where," he added."

dissident...

"Nevada's vote came amid disputes elsewhere, including one in Ohio where dissident groups asked for a court review of the state's close presidential race before electors in that state cast their ballots"

8. I believe that Marvel should be quoted extensively in other LTTEs
For example, I think I'll submit a nice letter to The Oregonian and quote his puerile dismissal of voter concerns. Perhaps a LTTE at New York Times. I'm sure BuzzFlash would love to share this hilarious comment with its readers. Maybe Mr. Arnebeck would like to quote it as an example of the infestation of disinterest that permeates the Republican status quo. No doubt Mike Malloy would get a kick out of it, too, considering his immense admiration of Republican operatives.

There's nothing like the smell of contempt from elected officials to make us wonder what they've ever done to deserve one iota of respect from their constituents.

Oh. Don't forget Senator Reid. He'll get a real belly laugh out of this.

/sarcasm off

9. Time to spank the AP again
info@ap.org

WRITE THEM AND TELL THEM AGAIN TO STOP CALLING US DISSIDENTS!

Is that what they would call Christine Gregoire and the leaders of the Dem Party in Washington State, simply for asking that the law be followed and every vote is counted?

majijuana and gay marriage are tearing apart our nations fabric in a blue state? I want a Constitutional ammendment banning gambling and prostitution! See how the Nevada electors like being part of the Christian Coalition then.

Oh please.

We're all so amused.

People who live in homes that have wheels attached to them--shouldn't attempt humor.
