Do you think that the WA Stae Republicans will march in the streets in
protest as the Repug Chair said they would if the recount went for her?

1. undoubtedly.
I have seen first hand what their rent-a-mob "protesters" are. I have spoken with them about their deep convictions "we protest protesters...haha...no seriously...this is just a rally...I think..." then they all go back inside for coco and paychecks until the cameras show up. Rediculous.

2. Republicans don't march in the streets
They just make a few phone calls to the appropriate power brokers who can make things happen.

3. no, Rove will instruct them to chill, look what the Ukrain did for Ohio
election protest fuels election protests and the Bushies do not want people thinking about election protests right now.

10. Please do remember...
...this little article that appeared last week in the Seattle Times quoting a past WA SOS (Munro, a Republican):

"This thing could just degenerate and spiral downward," Munro said yesterday. "Whoever eventually becomes governor is going to have a very hard time governing, and we're going to go through four years of flopping around."

He suggested allowing new voter registrations for a few weeks, then holding a new election in February."

For reasons obvious to many of you, I truly hope the rethugs try to 'play that card' in WA in the next few days!! I really, really, really want them to take Munro's advice, don't you?

Peace.

11. She won even without the extra ~700 votes. She's officially got a mandate.

12. They were protesting even BEFORE the decision
Funny, I would have thought they didn't have this much imagination!

(This excerpt is from an AP story at Yahoo this morning that has since disappeared)

(snip)
About 350 people gathered Tuesday to show support for Rossi in front of the Supreme Court, at a rally sponsored by a conservative talk-radio station.
The crowd chanted "No more fraud!" They held signs saying "Welcome to Ukraine" and wore orange, a tribute to the signature color of demonstrators in Ukraine who protested a fraud-marred election there.

So let us, in the view of the media (oh, I'm sure they will be there for the repukes) get them to agree to open & tranparent elections. Surely if they are insisting on honest elections, then they cannot deny, in the face of cameras, to join us in our fight.
Such a Clintonian way of using those who would defile us.

18. I heard a Repo say on NPR tonight
that they should count all the late postmarked military ballots and that in any case and anyway they intend to sue to prevent the results of the hand-count to stand.

Ain't democracy grand?

The problem the Repos in WA have is all legal ballots counted legally under the law show they lost. As far as I know, they aren't making claims of systematic vote suppression, weird exit polls, software glitches/tampering, strange down ballot numbers, or apparent vote-line shifting.

All the Repos are saying is it's unfair to them to legally handcount the ballots.
Aww...
