OK - I'm cautiously optimistic and awaiting tomorrow |
|
Edited on Wed Dec-22-04 09:34 PM by DancingBear
If John Kerry acts tomorrow in a fashion that all of us here hope for, I will be ecstatic.
We have been waiting through difficult times for the man to act like the man we put heart and soul behind.
If he comes through, my heart sings.
If not, my soul dies.
My money is on my heart, John - make it sing.
God damn it, man - make it sing.

If you really know John Kerry, then you probably have known this all along. He is a man of honor, contrary to the wild allegations that fly around here.

10. Source for the hope for something to happen tomorrow (Thu 12/23)? |
|
I've seen all sorts of whispers about the possibility of something happening tomorrow, but where did this idea come from? (a link to another post at DU does not count as a 'source').
Was there comment somewhere, or a story reported as a rumor, or a comment from someone 'on the inside'?
I am ever hopeful, but we've been told so many times that 'something is going to happen'...

take everything with a grain of salt and if in fact any good news goes our way tomorrow, so much the better. If you expect roads paved in gold by the morning you are setting yourself up for a major let down.

get that through your head first. Now, the chance of this scumbag keeping the office he stole for the second time are very high almost a sure thing but there is an up side. This mess he created is his to repair (and that wont happen). When everything is finally out in the open not only will Americans see how these criminals stole our government but we will come away with an election system that is fool proof and honest and we will take back every seat we lost in a shorter time then they were stolen from us. We are and always have been the majority.

Sorry, I'm really lookin' forward to President Kerry. But I must be honest: First Lady Theresa Heinz is probably the only thing I'd really be afraid of in that administration. I had a girlfriend once whom she reminds me of (only not quite as rich). All I can say is... eeegh.
Still, I've got everything that I can cross... crossed. :hope:

If I could choose to have lunch with:
(a) a well-travelled, urbane, intelligent woman of the world with beautiful, brilliant children, or (b) a chain-smoking murderess with bratty children,
I'd pick Teresa. Sorry that girlfriend thing didn't work out. Would more money have cured your fear?

HAHA... You know, it mighta just. But in all seriousness, I still think she's the better of the First Ladies who we'd end up with. Don't get me wrong. And I would much rather have lunch with her; the only reason I'd have lunch with Laura Bush would be if we were both in college and I was buying pot from her... except I don't smoke pot, and I think she's a horrible, twittish hag of a shrew.
I suppose it's the whole quasi-hypochondriac thing she has going. Most notable example I can think of is the time she skipped out on some hiking photo-op because her feet hurt or some such thing. I mean... it's one thing if it's just hubby and honey out for a day, but the man was running for President. You have to put up a unified front, even if you're forcing it all the while.
But I'd still rather see her in the White House than good-ol-gal drug-dealer shot-caller ball-squeezer tight-lipped bony-assed angry fundie Laura "Yee-haw" Bush.

If that ain't a hit then I ain't Colonel Tom Parker.
Um... oh, yeah, I guess I ain't Colonel Tom Parker. But it begs to be sung!
