Look at this comment by OH SoS Blackwell......
He was talking about the economy, but I think he may have revealed something significant.

Secretary Blackwell pointed out that "in any given 24-hour period, 250 Ohio residents become Florida residents and that our state leads the nation in the exodus of people in the 25-to-39 year old age group."

I remember hearing that in 2000, there were thousands of New Yorkers who voted in both NY and FL (they live in FL for part of the year. And didn't FL have early voting, which would have given people several weeks or so to vote when they were in town (or they probably could have voted w/an absentee ballot as well. Just a thought.....

1. I never heard that it was confirmed that any voted in both places
just that they were registered in more than one state. If someone moves to FL from NY they aren't automatically removed from the registration lists in NY. It's possible that moves account for similar statistics in almost all states.

Where did you read that they voted in both places? What proof did they offer?

2. Now that you mention it, I think the story was that they were just
registered in both places. Just one more problem to add to the long list. You think a rep. and a senator will object to the electoral votes?

3. What they do is split vote. One registers in Ohio, the other registers
here.

I have been trying to get my hands on a letter sent by a ReThuglican letter sent to 18,000 part-time residents in Walton County outlining how they can split their vote and homestead their property and assure a large Republican base.

An article appeared in our newspaper, but the letters have all disappeared.
