I was having some doubts...
But I have to say that Kerry clearly is listening to the regular people and I thank him for that!

He is a convinced democrat and a very decent man. Keep writing him and supporting him. I am now sure that he understands what's going on with this nation's political institutions.

Almost there!

and some people still aren't satisfied.

Don't people realize that it is more serious to file a lawsuit (by Kerry directly!) demanding impounding of all machines - rather than just a recount? To me it is a little more serious. Asking for a recount more or less implies you just think the votes weren't counted properly.

Demanding impounding of all the machines to be held onto for discovery means it is believed that evidence of fraud will be found. :hi:

9. I saw on another thread..
That the courthouse is closed there today because of the terrible weather...maybe that is the reason for the delay in hearing about actual papers filed.

10. now that Triad has gone to all of the Ohio recount
counties to do something to the machines (some reports say they were calibrating them so they only count presidental votes, but the company itself never said this is what they were doing...) is there anything to "find" even if they were impounded?

12. it was just a question... i think it is *extremely* important information
and was wondering, at this point, since everything has been compromised with the Triad personnel coming in to most, if not all, recount sites, if there were things *we don't know about* inside the computers that could come to light -- therefore, it's a techie question of what can we expect next if these machines are impounded... that's all

17. Baby Steps
A little late , don't you think ? Just signing on to the current case isn't really a bombshell. Why didn't Kerry sign on earlier and have those machines impounded immediately ? Plenty of opportunity since the election to fiddle with them. There comes a point when we need a National Leader to get out in front of this issue. As much as we love and admire John Conyers, the vast majority of Americans don't even know who he is. People know Jesse Jackson , but are quick to dismiss him , and his viewpoints - and the MSM rarely even cover him. Keith O ... again, the majority of Americans say... WHO ? If this issue isn't just going to fade away , time is running out. Are Democratic leaders just going to shrug their shoulders and say ... yep, another stolen Presidency. Meanwhile, more die in Iraq... etc. etc.

WHERE ARE OUR LEADERS ?!?!

( Working quietly behind the scenes ... oh, REALLY ??? )

19. I knew
he wouldn't leave us behind! I have never stopped believing...that is why I wrote this letter late last week...
Dear Mr. Kerry,
I teach high school and I was hoping to give a
different perspective re: the 2004 election fraud. I
love what I do. My students are indeed the future of
this country and it concerns me when they express
cynical and jaded views regarding the direction of our
political system. These young adults see things
fairly black and white because they have not had the
life experiences that often taint our beliefs as we
grow older. Therefore, I find it critically
imperative that these young adults have a moral
compass and role models that embrace honor, integrity
and courage. They are watching us closely right now
and it becomes increasingly difficult to explain that
corruption hasn't infected everything throughout this
country. How can we expect them to "do the right
thing" for their generation if we are unwilling to
model ethical behavior from our own? Mr. Kerry- you
have a unique opportunity to LEAD these young adults
by your EXAMPLE! I realize this task will not be an
easy one. You have displayed courage and leadership
throughout your lifetime by drawing strength from your
convictions...we need you now more than ever before!
Please trust that the 60 million people who share in
your values will be behind you in this fight. There
is so much at stake. The future of our country
depends on it! Your leadership and passion for
integrity will ignite a flame of promise for these
young adults...good CAN triumph over evil! I hope you
will continue to challenge the autenticity of the 2004
election regardless of the outcome. Fighting for the
integrity of our democracy can only be a winning
proposition! Thank you.

After todays news, all I can say is...the weary world rejoices!!!!!!!!!!

21. That was beautiful.
Mine simply mentioned that we were here, we had his back, if he wanted to fight we'd be right there with him and, if it was true that "Help is on the Way," now would be a really good time for it to show up. Peace and thanks for your kind words on that other thread.

:)

23. That's a heck of a beautiful
metaphor: "John is turning that boat!" And very moving.

I'd seen a similar reference earlier in the day, but didn't make the connection.
