An Update on the DU Panic Room and Andy Stephenson

Earlier tonight, the discussion of how we could help Andy right
now came up on anther thread.
In keeping within the rules at DU about not soliciting funds
here, I decided to post information elsewhere.
It was then that I discovered the Panic Room had been hacked
by freepers.
I have removed them all and posted an updated message
there about a NEW and Freeper free Panic room.
I made the mistake of allowing another DUer who I really didn't
know to take on moderator duties there- my apologies to all
as it was a mistake. I found that the swarm of roaches followed
this person and now I can't even post at the site.
Not to worry, I have saved all of the original members addresses
and you will be informed of the new panic room location which will
be sans freepers.
Again, my apologies.
I will import all relevant posts form the original board.

8. No, it is simply about supporting Andy

BBV.org and BBV.com are two different organizations.
The DU PanicRoom was set up when DU was having server
problems last April. People were panicking about loss of communication
and so we set up a YAHOO message board to facilitate communication
during DU downtime.
It has also been useful to newbies who want to post but are
waiting to clear the count.
Since it is against DU rules to solicit fundraising and yet there
are DUers who would like to support Andy, I decided to post the
info on the Panic Room board. It was then that I discovered
the board had been hacked by the "moran" tribe.
No one is asking for BBV.com or org donations.
