Jesse Jackson, my new hero.
I know Jesse has been with us a long time, but probably like many, I kinda took him for granted, but with just a few voices being heard about the election fraud...I have come to the conclusion that he is indeed a great man. I LOVE JESSE JACKSON!!!!!! He spoke so eloquently at the Conyers hearing, he speaks so eloquently in any and all interviews I have seen him in these days regarding the election fraud, that I have decided he is my hero. Like yesterday, on CNN with that Falwell fool, he cut right to the matter re: abortion. Jesse says it like it is, gotta love the man.

10. Blitzer asked some questions, getting each take on issues...
one of which was abortion, Falwell of course is against abortion, Jesse brought out so many good points, to the point of how could you be against it, when they will always be available to the rich, legally or illegally, stating how no woman really wants one it is always a difficult decision, women face pregnancy sometimes after abuse or rape, and how it should always be a woman's right to choose for so many reasons & we don't want to go back to the days of back alley abortions & all of the problems that happened because of them. Love that Jesse!

3. I've always loved the man
If he were white, he'd be a national hero. He's freed POWs from Lebanon, gotten Iraq to release American hostages, and been a champion for lost causes in this nation more often than anyone can count, and most often he's faced nothing but scorn and ridicule not only from the white conservative establishment he fights against but often from white liberals who should be his natural allies.

Hope this latest fight brings him the love he deserves. He's a truly great American, at a time when we've confused that word "great" with "rich and powerful."

North Dallas, at that.

Subject: In Support of YOU

I'm a 50-something white woman in the small state of Delaware who has followed your career for many years. It may be little to do but I wanted to write to you to express my total support of your stepping out and speaking up on the voter fraud issues at least half of the country believes not only exist but also gave the election to Bush.

While watching all of your appearances on television lately I was saddened to hear you so hoarse and look so tired while appearing on Countdown with Keith Olbermann last night. I am distressed and ashamed that you are the only Democratic face out there on this issue. I have written Kerry, Edwards, Kennedy, and my own Joe Biden about all of this since BEFORE the election and received a lot of form letters saying yes, they were also concerned. Well, where are they now?!

You have my support, my prayers, and my deepest respect for your willingness to step up and take the backlash. Watching the people in the Ukraine has reminded us all of the power we have if we would only speak together. It is my fervent hope that you, and now others, can inspire the half of the country who feels cheated to organize and protest in great numbers with a great voice. I and many others are here, working behind the scenes trying to help you by writing editorials to our local papers, writing to our congress people, and talking as much as we can to friends and neighbors and talk radio about all of this.

We will also continue to ask our Democratic representatives to find their own, please excuse me but there's no better word right now, balls!

Asking God and the Universe to give you strength,

xxxxxxxx

ps - I also forward really good Election fraud info here hoping his staff picks up on it and gives it to him.

11. As soon as I pay off my credit card, my donations will be going
to Jesse's Rainbow Coalition. Cyberpj, I'm a 40 something white female & he has won me over. After finding DU, like so many after this disappointing election theft, I can never go back to the days of not being interested in politics. It's my primary interest these days thanks to people like Jesse. I also think he is so much like MLK, it gives us all hope that there are still good people in this world...when so many of us are so disillusioned.

8. Jesse should have been pres in 88.
He was and still is the bomb. It's kind of a shame that others in the AA community truned on him after the 2000 election.

9. Jesse has become a really selfless person and he is eloquent
I used to think he was a political "ambulance chaser" but I have never been so happy so see someone at the scene of a diaster as seeing him rise to the occasion in Ohio the past few weeks!

15. The media did a number on him
They portrayed him as an ambulance chaser after he ran for president in 88 (when I voted for him!) to undermine him. They ridiculed his causes, and never reported on why he got involved, so everyone thought he was just trying to stir up trouble, especially on police brutality issues. So a lot of people thought he was a showboat, and no substance.

You know you are doing good for America when the neocon machine releases a slander tell-all against you, as they did against Jackson.

12. I watched Jesse trounce the big Thumper
Falwell and I loved and savored every second of it. Jesse appeared as a well educated, sensitive man while Falwell appeared exactly as he is - deranged and dangerous.

for all his hard work on our behalf, the American Voter. I too did not what to think of the man until now and ,yes, he is one of my heros too. His voice may be hoarse but his beliefs are very strong. He has had problems with the flu of late but he stays in the fight and carries on, what would we do without him. I am glad I had the opportunity to shank his hand, it was a very good day.

:)
